One thing that always got me iffy about stacks is losing the bed space, if I can get them mounted on the sides like a Peterbilt then I definitely would do it.
Ya I have the same issue as you but I just sent it put it more in the corner of the bed and I don’t notice it often but I often use a gooseneck unless it’s like a dirt bike and i also have a long bed
@@kevindamme158 I ended up getting a flatbed on my truck so now I have all the space I need so I no longer worry about it, gonna be putting some 5 or 6 inch stacks on my truck and hopefully they look as good as I imagine
Too bad your friend didnt just sit in the box while you took er fer a few rips der bud. I have a few questions for you. Hope you can help a guy out. 1. What kind of tuner do you have on your truck? 2. Im going to get a new dodge. I'm not sure if i want a dually or not. I will be towing, but when i tow it will be fairly heavy, 15,000 - 20,000lbs if not more. 3. I was also thinking about getting a stack. So far do you like having the stack or is it obnoxiously loud while on a 2+ hour high way trip? The new trucks have air bags, but with the air bags option, you only get 3 leaf springs and 1 overload spring. (4 total) Without the air bags you get quite a few more leaf springs/overload springs. Any advice or information would be appreciated so this time i get the right truck.
That would have made for some good footage 🤔 I had an H&S Mini Maxx Race Tuner ( I just wanted something that would clear the engine codes) If it were up to me and I was towing heavy often... then I would get the dually. I think it would be the better choice just for the sake of stability when hauling heavy loads. I love the stack.. but I also don't mind the noise. If you are wanting to have more of a peaceful drive on the highway... then maybe you should go with a different option. You will hear it for sure. I am not sure what advice I can give you for the air bags option as I have never had them. Although I heard they are good for heavy loads so you could eliminate the sag in the rear 🤷🏻♂️ I am not sure how much of a help this really was, but if you have anymore questions feel free to ask and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge! Good luck on a new truck purchase 👍🏻
@@FS2S the reply is helpful enough. Yes, i think i will definitely go with a dually with air bags. Maybe the air bags has only been an option on the newer 2019 - 2021 year trucks. Also, i'm surprised you have an H&S tuner. i have the H&S xrt pro on my 2010. i thought H&S went out of business years ago? But yes, a dually would just be better to keep DOT (department of transportation) off my ass if i get pulled over. The tires wont be squashed (hopfully) when having heavy payload. My "fear" of a single rear wheel SRW is if a tire blows while you're going down the highway and towing a load, that's a lot of weight to have hit the dirt. At least with a dually you still have one tire left.
I have a 98 dodge with a 8 inch chrome stack in the bed and I honestly love it just it’s hard to keep the truck clean. And around 55 you can’t here yourself think but just speed up and at 60 it goes away but your truck looks good man I love it.
Yeah this truck doesn’t smoke too much unless you want it to, so keeping it clean hasn’t been much of an issue. But it sure is loud at higher rpms lol. I love it aswell, thanks for watching! 😎
I got some questions I plan on getting a dually 2019 how much would it cost to get a build like yours just a straight pipe and time and lift tires and rims also what type of lift rims and tire sizes are yours
The full build of this truck is on my TH-cam channel! It breaks down each modification 👍🏻 as far as price, everything I did to the truck costed me around $15k. The lift is a 4 inch Superlift. Tires are 35x13.50r20 👌🏻

Looks good and sounds good too. You will probably like it until you pull a heavy trailer. lol I put dual 6" stacks on my '06, I absolutely loved them until I pulled my camper, and then the drone made me hate them. It went right to a shop to have a muffler installed after that! lol
@@monsterram6617 yeah the '06 got a straight through muffler. My current truck, a '14 Ram 2500 I put a resonator on it..... then I saw the video you linked. LOL
I'm curious on running a stack on my 5th gen and wondering how bad the cab drone is on the inside. I do travel with it lots. 5 hour drive max at a time tho .
On the highway the drone get pretty constant. I enjoyed the sound so it wasn’t a big deal for me. It’s not deafening but it’s definitely there lol. It all depends on what you think is worth it. I recommend it 👍🏻
The negative side of it . You just limited what you can haul in your bed . You also will put suet all over a camper or anything that you haul. In my opinion a truck is a tool . Especially a Dualle . Anyway when I get my Ram I am doing that but I'm putting to smoke stacks coming out the side of the bed not directly 20 backwards then again I've seen one video on TH-cam with this guy that I guess in a company that has 12 in that's why I went to the website and I can't find it I want the biggest tax possible

Where did you get your tail lights ? They look sick !
Wonder what that would sound like with a second gen manifold swap?
