    Never heard anyone pronounce 'decals' (dee-kalz) as 'deckles' (like freckles).

    I’m listening to you say decal just thinking it’s a word I’ve never heard before since I’ve never made something like this. Then I see you have it written on your wall. Ahhhh. Since I was I a kid growing up in NYC we pronounced that word as “dee-kal”. You are saying “deck-kel”. I just found the different pronunciations amusing. Must be a Canadian v. American thing.
    Great video. Thanks. I so want to build this pedal and reproduce your decal exactly.

    Rad Video, I am having some issues getting mine to print to the size I made them, any ideas how to print to scale in this program? I have searched but only found confusion and head bashing against the wall!!

      after you are done in paint.net. save them as a .pdn (in case you need to edit them later), then again as a .bmp. Open the bmp in ms paint. the print dialog there allows you to print at 100%, just use the "page setup" and "print preview" to be sure

    Awesome stuff! I had a quick question - I've been using waterslide decals to do my enclosures, but they're kind of a pain in the ass in regards to bubbling, tearing, etc. I just tried finding the Avery product you have, it's possible that Amazon doesn't have that specific stuff anymore, but everything I found was "frosted" which kind of scares me. Lots of other brands have terrible reviews, and while they're a little cheaper than the waterslide paper, I don't want to waste money on something different that doesn't work right. Any chance you could link the exact item you've been using? Thanks!
    Derek

      I used to use the clear Avery lables when I only did white enclosures - amzn.to/2W99bl4 , but have since changed to these white vinyl ones - amzn.to/3r2X7Am - as I have been using more colors. The new ones create a little more steps for color matching, but I am very happy with them. Probably more so than the Avery labels. Less ink run. In any case, both work well with a generic inkjet printer (i have an hp officejet 4630) just be sure to set your print to highest quality and for glossy paper.

    • @derekwozniak5534
      @derekwozniak5534 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pougnetpedals Nice! I unfortunately can't get the Avery ones in the US, I'm somewhat lazy about trying to do color matching, though I may have to stop being lazy and just go that route if the others work well. Thanks!

      @@derekwozniak5534 you can order via avery.com - just go to their website, browse per material (clear gloss), then shape (rectangle) and you will see the full page there, maybe the item number will be different this is why it is not available here.

      @@pougnetpedals seems the Avery 7665 is only available in Canada and I am unable to find the equivalent version here in the states? My first attempt was with a matte version and it does not look as good or snappy as a gloss would. I bought it before I realized I need GLOSSY.
