55022 at Barmouth 12/7/08

Finally managed to film royal scots grey on the snowdonian tour. Filmed it as it crossed the bridge over the estuary into Barmouth. Then got it on the return at the other end of the bridge quite pleased it opened second engine up as it came off bridge. the noises you can hear is a gate people kept going through that sounded like it could do with a bit of oil. also as usual on my films diddly railways getting in on the act as the little fairborne loco was whistling to the deltic.

yes they tried changing the times to catch me out but i got it at last apparently it was chucking a load of oil out on the way but seems to have been sorted since.

thanks yes filmed D1015 earlier in the year and it chucked out a load of black smoke and they opened up the 2nd engine as it came off the bridge

puffernutterlou D1015 went to Aberystwyth not Barmouth so has never crossed Barmouth Bridge.

thank you yes was a bit surprised i got it in the end. got the duchess again today and hoping to get the deltic coming back that bob got earlier and 2 class 47s. keep your fingers crossed
