- It happens to all of us. Eventually the time comes for a new motorcycle. I'm getting another Harley Davidson today BUT the big question is -- which one and how do you decide what to get?
Join me as I catch a train to the dealer and come home with a new 2024 Harley Davidson. Should I get another Street Glide -- a 2024 Street Glide? -- or has the mighty Batwing run it's course now that the trend is the Road Glide. Perhaps the Low Rider S would be better suited to my style of riding?

Last time I went into that store was mid-week just while I was back home in Victoria. I had cash to buy a bike, was the only one in the store and I couldn't get anyone to talk to me. Walked out and bought from another dealership after I came back up north. Dandenong and Ringwood were great but didn't have what I was chasing at the time.
Everybody told me I shouldn't get a Breakout handle badly,slow, heavy blah blah blah. Bought one . Love it End of.
I've owned my 2020 since new and I Love it ,,now my third brand new Harley ,,but the Achie Breakie has always been the best looked Imo.
It’s all about what moves YOU. I have quite a few friends who absolutely love the low rider ST. It doesn’t move me at all. Come to think of it, the new street glides don’t move me either. I’ll stick with my ‘19 street glide for a few more years. Wishing you lots of happy miles on your breakout! 👍

I have a dark blue/silver '99 FXDL,wouldn't get anything bigger through my front door, bike lives in the hallway.

What you “should “ do is just what other people think. You are 100% right, do what you love and don’t let other people dictate your life. If I did what I should do then I wouldn’t have found myself 200 miles from home in the Welsh mountains on Friday riding some of the best roads I have ever found. Love my street glide (it’s a 120th anniversary so not black!😉) , love riding, and love not doing what I should! Keep up the good work 🙌

I must say you look really good on that bike it suits you as soon as you pulled out of that shop, I thought, yes, smooth and that's what Surprise me when you pulled out of the shop that blue looked so good there is enough black Harley's on the streets nothing is standing out these days but that blue pops 👍🏾
Many are going for the road glide now, but me, I still like the street glide. It just looks more streamlined and cool!

I actually love the way the road glide looks. Street glide are nice, but until you've passed a Semi truck at 90 with a frame mounted fairing, you just don't get it.

@@OldManShoutsAtCloudsI’ve passed many a semi at 90 and above on both street glides and road glides. The difference is very small at best. The bigger difference is the amount of room in front of you on a road glide. Some people like that, but the street glide fits me better. You’ll only see a large difference between the two when you throw light weight wheels on and roar around a bunch of turns in a track setting. The RG will steer a LOT quicker at that point. For anything less, enjoy whichever one you like best.
I was starting to look at another Harley but ive only just put a stage 2 cam upgrade into my 2021 Fat Bob and haven’t even had time to enjoy it and a 2024 breakout caught my eye Lol trying not to do anything about until we have had this little discussion and now you have convinced me I should be doing what I WANT which is i love the Fat Bob being an old motocross rider but i have to face reality im 56 yo and the Breakout has a more comfortable seat ✅ a more relaxed riding position ✅ a bigger motor✅ and a bigger fuel tank✅ im SOLD 😂

I should stay at home pottering around after retiring, however I’m on day 4 of a European motorcycle tour, riding solo and loving it, now in Italy with my Ducati Diavel, next year I’ll get some panniers on the Softail Slim and take that on another tour

Absolutely love the color! The new gen bikes just don’t move me as much as the slightly older ones at this point. I’m sticking with my billiard blue street glide til something comes along that puts a bigger smile on my face. Enjoy your bike buddy, hope you get a ton of miles and smiles off of it!

Best time to buy is at the end of each month they will cut a great deal just to get their sales figures , I have bought 2 bikes this way an got excellent price

I had a lot of fun getting dragged on my arse haha. Smoke coming up & all. Actually took an inch of the sole of my boot. I keep thinking imagine with that was flesh, ouch. Yip 💯 have faith in the gear 🙂 Don't mind the blue bike, however I probably would choose another colour. Not sure if I'd go black again.

Congratulations on the beautiful new bike. I just rode to Milwaukee last week to the Harley Davidson museum. I saw the first Harley ever built with serial number #1 and we saw the small shed it was built in. Was a neat tour.
I've had a few Harleys and my enjoyment has been directly proportional to the way the bike fitted me.
I'm a short guy 1,65 and I love Harleys. My first was a 2009 Road King, then I swopped it for a white 2009 Heritage. I fitted a Soft tail Deluxe seat and it was still overall my best Harley. I later bought a Denim Black 2010 Rocker C and that was my most fun bike.
I swopped the Heritage for a Denim Black/Grey 2018 Ultra Low and later swopped that out for a Black 2022 Tri Glide which I taught my better half to ride and overnight it became hers.
I raised the fact that I needed a Tourer and she insisted that I sell the Rocker C, which I did and bought a Wine berry 2020 Streetglide CVO.
If Harley made a bike that has the look of the old Heritage with leather and studs that would hands down be the bike if I could only have one. The Rocker C was the most fun and looks so sweet with the single flat saddle. As for the Tourer, I don't have any real choice other than the Streetglide but if I fitted on the Ultra better it would be my bike of choice because with the the top box removable kit you have 2 bikes in one, Streetglide and Ultra.
Given how tall you are a Denim Ruby Red or Blue Ultra with the Top box detachment kit makes the most sense. So, that is what you SHOULD get 😂🤣😂

Love the video. I’m not sold on Harley’s new look. Or the electronic gauge package. Each new bike should come with a pair of pink fluffy chaps.
But then again I’m old school, and Harley always had the bad boy look and sound. I’m surprised though, that they didn’t incorporate a cup holder in the fairing.

Excellent channel! Excellent choice the blue is awesome! I just bought the same bike, black on black. So far only Vance and Hines Eliminator 400's black. Just got it home Friday and I'm going through all the amazing stuff. I'll comment as I ride! I do live my life to my terms, 69 years old not dead!

I looked at the new models too. I’m in the market for a new bike. I’ve decided to pickup a used 21-23 bike. I want to give that new electronic gauge package some time to get some longevity. I do like the new models but, for now I’m holding off. I agree with others on here that, it’s your money so get whatever you want. 👍

I went from Ultra...then a Roadking Special...now on a Softail. Pretty much done the full gamut several times.

I have a 21 ultra limited and im wanting a Low rider st 24 model that is decked out with cam and turbo upgrade brand new bike as well. but wife rides with me some and what not so it's keeping me away from getting the bike and just keep riding my ultra unfortunately

purchased my ultraclassic new in 05. Sunset gold and vivid black. it has done nothing but nickle and dime me since. Just like my 95 f250 7.3 ext cab, I wouldn't get rid of either one.

My first was a 2007 cvo road king the BLUE ONE !!!!😃😃 lots of chrome I love chrome my wife and I always cleaned it before each ride that’s what we love doing I later got her a 2014 street glide special it was her dream she rode the heck out of it had to sell because we had just bought a home and I was so sad but now it’s 2024 the bikes do not have nice colors except your blue one !! The style and the m8 motor I’m not happy with soooo I seen a bike at a used Harley shop called lifestyle cycle a 2015 road glide very beautiful light wine red shines in the sun had only 3,500 miles on it and I already put 3,000 miles on it in one month only paid $15,000 for it and no oil leaks no issues and was able to put a warranty on it I’m one happy man thank you for this awesome video!!! Oh and I’m 62 years old and remember YOU DONT STOP RIDING BECAUSE YOUR OLD ,,YOU GET OLD BECAUSE YOU STOPED RIDING !!!! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU RIDERS OUT THERE !!!!
Thank you for not getting a road glide. Here in the states, the road glide appears to be outselling the street glide 10:1. Beautiful blue. I may go with the white onyx. I love the storage tray under the screen.

Love this blue, I’ve had a Big Blue Pearl ‘12 Road Glide and a BBP ‘12 ElectraGlide… so I’m kinda blue partial….
Of course, Superior Blue is the best of the Harley Davidson colours. I have a 2016 Street Glide Special in that colour, with two-into-one 'Vance and Hines' Pro Pipes. The blurb says, '...which integrates a chambered high-flow catalyst in the megaphone for a bigger boost in torque and the boneshaking roar of a drag bike racing down the strip.' I am hard of hearing. Though apparently, I am told it sounds like a HD and I can feel the vibe through the seat and handholds. Cheers.
It is a really fine color that will probably do well over time I would think. A minority opinion I guess, but I like quieter road bikes. It makes a long day better. And it’s probably perfectly powerful enough as is for long road trips as well. The reliability of stock and a bit of factory quiet makes a really good long haul bike imo. I know everyone wants to get all MC, but after 50 years of riding all kinds of bikes, this is where I’ve gotten to. It’s how I like it, not how anyone else should do it. But I really hate breakdowns on the road and, after a few hours, a manly no-baffles roar is not so sweet. So. That bike looks ready to point at the horizon to me.

Hi lovely bike but same family as what you have if it's a 2nd bike for me would have to be completely different to what I have but that's just me . Two bikes the same you will always have a favourite so one will be underused I have a harley which I love also a sports tourer both great bikes both very different ride free great vid

I have always wanted a harley, but unfortunately circumstances won't let me. My old 82 goldwing we have to do for now.
Been looking at a new scoot, leaning towards a Road King as I have a Street Glide now as well as a Dyna...its a toss up between a new truck (my old one is 17 years ) and a third Harvey-Donaldson.......but that new Street Glide though.

100%. I'm the only one in my MC (Harleys only) that rides a Pan America, I am riding what I want. I love the smoothness of a water-cooled engine and all the tech, particularly the electronic auto adjusting suspension (no need to manually adjust preload for different weights, the bike does it for you) and when you change ride modes the bike automatically adjusts the suspension parameters to suit - eg, go to Sport Mode, the suspension automatically firms up). Still in 2024, the only Harley that has this level of tech (although it's archaic compared to BMW and Ducati). The Pan America is, IMO, the best Sports/Tourer Harley has ever made - if you can get over the fact that it looks like a big trail bike. Mate, stop pussy footing around, get the colour you want.
Keep the street glide and buy a heritage to ride when you want to have fun😂

You buy a bike to fit your personality and your needs and wants out of riding. People that lift their nose at a brand or a model of bike have forgotten what riding a motorcycle actually means or they never knew it from the gate. Motorcycles are a extension of the riders personality and when you become one with a machine as beautiful as a motorcycle there is nothing else like it. If heaven doesn't allow two wheels i dont wanna go.

Black Harleys are boring. Dont go with the mainstrean . New SG 24 , i like it. Not the cheap looking details, for example, the plastic inner fairing. But, the look of the bike is awesome.
