Magical top class video mate. Never seen anyone at these vantage points. Great effort. In the 1949's us kids used to put pennies on the line between the tunnels and the road bridge. Slithering down and clambering back up the embankment.
Wish I was there Keith. Makes it worth making these vids when someone like you comes along with high praise. I hope I can continue to make some great videos, but lets be honest not all locations have this kind of variety of angles. And I burnt my head a bit on the bald patch.
Superb Video Richard and you beat me to it as I have been trying to get down there for the last few month after seeing your last video you did last year. I think its going to be next year now but going back to this footage I could not film so of the train you did. Great stuff Mike.
Thanks Mike. I found out today how to get to the location at Chelmscote which is on the opposite curve slightly north of this location. That would allow the sunshine to reflect from the west side for all these workings and definitely compliment this location for morning workings. Although I heard rumours that a fence now blocks some viewpoints on that curve. Next time I am up that way I will definitely give it a go and see what gives. If you ever do go to this location in the car, park in the parking area next to the canal near the "one way" bridge that goes over the canal. You can then walk 50 yards back towards the railway, go through the little gate which is part of the vehicle access gate to the fields and walk the mine field of poo that takes you to the railway. When your up on the hill you can see your car from the railway. A part of the fence has been broken which looks like spotters did it trying to climb over. Hopefully that will not lead to consequences for us law abiding enthusiasts. I hope if you take the trip south you get more than 66's.
