GOA CABO DE RAMA FORT- Ram’s abode, South Goa

It was also used as prison for almost 20 years.
Folklore says it's Rama's abode and hence the name Cabo de Rama where Lord Ram and Sita during their exhile from Ayodhya took shelter .
This fort was ruled by Hindu rulers and sometimes by Muslim till the time Portuguese took over till their colonial rule.
Though this fort is not well maintaied it offers a magnificent view of Arabian sea.
This fort falls in between 2 beaches one Cavelossim and another Agonda.
The history of this fort doesn't give complete picture but the cannons and fort does speak volumes for itself.
60 km from Panjim this fort can take you to Karwar within one hour.
There are many beach places and small vents to different sites of beach. This video takes to 3 different views of beaches. Next time we might explore some more breath taking sites.
