Yeah, and the cameraman can't stop showing Townshend even when JE is utterly ripping on bass and Pete's just chording. We don't even see there's a 4th guy onstage until a distant shot at 1:29.
Edit: Just saw similar comments further down the thread. Nothing original here, I'm just joining the choir. I liked whoever said that 20th-century rock concert cameramen must have been told never to follow the bassist.

Heck, also maybe the best rock album ever. It starts with Baba O'Riley, which as I type in June, 2020, nearly 50 years later, has one of the most frequently used and recognizable riffs,, and ends with Won't Get Fooled Again. The songs in the middle aren't quite at the level of these classics, but there's not a mediocre song on *Who's Next*.
They were the first band to use volume effectively. They invented metal, or *heavy* metal, as it was called. (You can hear them doing it on later releases of Live at Leeds, especially on the 15 minute version of My Generation). Pete wrote, and the band performed, the first successful rock opera. In their prime they were electrifying. No one has rocked harder. No one has ever had songs to do it. Just an awesome band.

Not even "Rolling Stone" magazine writers would have lacked such in their description, perception, feeling, expression and depth ... then. 😑

The gig was put together to fill in tracks and visual references for a movie in production (The Kids Are Alright). The filming at Kilburn was done in 35mm. A hand full of gents killing it. Each one had something great to contribute. But that drum solo by Mr. Moon, is out of sight and one of my favorites!

"THE WHO" was known as the loudest Rock Band in the World. When you were walking out of a Concert Hall after listening to these guys play there many Hit tunes you were DEAF as a post and grinning from ear to ear. "ELECTRIFIED" and probably Stoned as well. Great Rock Band for sure!

Whats old, age just does not matter, pete and Roger still carry on and they don't worry, and still one of if not the finest band, i remember when they first started as the high numbers, they have seen history!!

Well I know I'm an old fart now but there is no modern band that can give out half that raw energy and moon and Entwistle thumping away behind is incredible.

From one old fart to another, there never was, and probably, no definately, never will be, any band that can come anywhere near the Who. Marvelous live, and recorded, and I wish I was as energetic now as I was at their gigs. Happy days....
