Having severe allergies and asthma, this is how I clean my house, plus, it's a whole lot safer for kids, pets and the environment. It would have really been nice and helpful to actually show the amounts of each ingredient necessary. Another helpful tip to clean hard water spots and buildup on your in door ice & water tray on fridge is to place a paper towel in the tray, pour enough vinegar just to wet it and leave a few hours or overnight. Leaves it looking new again!
so basically baking soda, salt and vinegar are the answers to all our problems

If you add 5-10 drops of essential oils it negates the smell of vinegar entirely and can smell like whatever you want, it may also add some cleansing or disinfecting properties. Melissa Maker swears by this and so do I.

For folks who think this is lazy. I say it is good. Especially for folks who are physically disabled and do not have alot of muscles. This is a life saver for us who need it.

WD-40 is the trademark name of a penetrating oil and water-displacing spray. The spray is manufactured by the San Diego, California-based WD-40 Company.[1]
The long-term active ingredient is a non-volatile viscous oil which
remains on the surface to which it is applied, giving lubrication and
protection from moisture.[5]
This oil is diluted with a volatile hydrocarbon to make a low viscosity
fluid which can be aerosolized to penetrate crevices. The volatile
hydrocarbon then evaporates, leaving behind the oil. A propellant
(originally a low-molecular-weight hydrocarbon, now carbon dioxide)
creates pressure in the can to force the liquid through the can's nozzle
before evaporating.[5]
Its properties make it useful in both domestic and commercial
settings. Typical uses for WD-40 include removing dirt and extricating
jammed screws and bolts. It can also be used to loosen stubborn zippers
and displace moisture.
Due to its low viscosity, WD-40 is not always the preferred oil for
certain tasks. Applications that require higher viscosity oils may use motor oils. Those requiring a mid-range oil could use honing oil.[6]

Small saucepan with a halved lemon and a couple cinnamon sticks in two cups of water bring to a boil for a few minutes will negate the vinegar smell. Not to mention the smell of the vinegar and lemon is by far better than the caustic odor chemical cleaners have and won't hurt your lungs and sinuses nearly as bad. You can actually get chemical burns in your lungs from inhaling bleach....anywho other options besides lemon and cinnamon you can use a couple of teabags and lemon to a boil then enjoy a cup of tea afterwards or just boil a few sprigs or basil or rosemary or your preferred herb in some water for about 5 minutes that too will also eliminate the odors. The thing I like best about using these concoctions is it's safer to use than typical cleaners and it's so easy versus buying a million and one abrasive cleaners And a lot easier on your respiratory system versus using the chemical laced products....it's just as effective if not more....the acid in lemon juice can cook fish alone and it certainly can kill household germs just as effectively :)
