May I use an overhead uv lamp instead of the flashlight that’s provided? Not really wanting to carry it because I could possibly drop it if I were to get tired of carrying the flashlight
How do you know if you forgot to take the coating off in time? What will high spots look like with the light? Like lets say you thought you took it all off and few hours later you notice in the sun there's smudges. What will the light show that as? thanks
brent horton The light will show it as a really dark purple. In the sun a high spot looks like a dark smudge. The purple should be an even color on the entire panel. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much. So correct me if I'm wrong. You are saying that the color should be a uniform purple after your done removing the coating and if you have left coating on the surface it will show as a darker purple. Is that correct?
Just wondering what type of coating you prefer on pure looks alone? I have a MX-5 that I got this year which is strictly a weekend toy, so it doesn't see rain or bad weather, and will be stored away during the winter. I picked up a kit of C-Quartz ceramic coating earlier in the year with plans to put it on once we've moved into our new house with it's bigger garage. However it's taking longer than expected to get everything ready to move in, so since the wax that had been on there since I bought it was starting to wear out, I went ahead and put on 2 coats of Griot's Liquid Poly Wax, and followed it up with a coat of Bead Maker, and I've got to say I really like the look of it. The car is Mazda's really nice red anyway, and the wax just really darkens it to a really beautiful crimson, and I've gotten a lot of complements on it as is. I'm wondering, since durability isn't a concern, if it's even worth putting on a ceramic or graphene coating. So again, just wondering if a ceramic or graphene coating will add depth and warmth, or will it mainly add gloss? The Griot's wax was easy to apply (being a liquid), so I'm now debating if I should just stick with liquid waxes/sealants for this, and save the ceramic coating for one of our other vehicles, which are the wife and I's daily drivers?
Geese1 If it’s just a weekend car I wouldn’t coat it. Liquid gloss Polywax is the way to go I love that wax. Ceramic coatings add gloss and durability but not really depth and color richness.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing thanks for the info. I haven't seen a ceramic coated car in person, so I wasn't sure how it affected the color compared to a wax.
I just put this coating on my Gladiator. I have to say this is, hands down, one of the easiest, most forgiving coatings to work with. Dwell time is longer than anyone could need, and high spots wipe right off. Time will tell if it's durable.
Hey so heres a question i thought of the other day. Does Adam's have a preferred Temperature that this is applied in? I couldnt find anything on the bottle and Adam's hasnt gotten back to me lol. So i'm guessing no?
I have 2 coats of the spray version on my car right now. The beading is the best I have seen too date. I cant say it lasts as long as they claim, since that says a year +, but as of right now, I am VERY happy with it. No special applicator used, just Costco MF towels.
Functional Doc To be honest I’m not sure what my towels are that I used. I have never heard 80/20 can scratch soft paint so that’s good to know. Looks like I will specifically buy 70/30 just for soft paint. Thanks for the Info
Have you tried car pro uk 3.0? If yes, how does it compare (user friendly application, look/shine/gloss, durability/year to date)to the Adams graphene coating?
Looks great FAB! What a mess the paint was before you got to it. I think those specks are a whole lot of rock chips. Seems to be the biggest complaints on the forums besides the paint itself. I got mine with ppf and ceramic right away but I’m still getting scratching. The Adam’s graphene pretty cool too with the UV. I see your brother has the dual motor. Ask him if he bought the acceleration boost? I’m thinking about it. Peace out brother
Jason Davis Thanks man! PPF is definitely the way to go with these cars when new. I will have to ask him but man it is fast already I can’t imagine having more power.
How do you personally care for this? Do you put sealants and waxes over it or do you use a spray coating every few months to rejuvenate the original base coat?
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing gotcha.... Was really curious if you/brother were going to try it. My dad was an executive engineer with general motors on the wiper system side of things... Rain sensing wiper systems all that stuff was his schtick. On Saturday we were talking about using graphene on glass. He said that they had attempted using Rain-X for years.... But it wouldn't hold up and there were smearing problems and issues with things like that at night... So they never pre-treated cars from the factory. Dad obviously has since retired, but I was really curious on how it would work on glass
Hey Brian! I noticed you tried a few graphene coatings so I have 2 questions for you. In regards to water sheeting (I hate beads because they create dirt stains), which would you consider to be your top 3, in order please? And also even though I ask you to put them in order, the sheeting capabilities are quite close or you do see a clear difference?

I just spoke to my brother the other day and he said it still looks great! I will be washing it soon and doing an update video
May I use an overhead uv lamp instead of the flashlight that’s provided? Not really wanting to carry it because I could possibly drop it if I were to get tired of carrying the flashlight
Yes you can and I have heard of people doing that!
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing thank you very much for the confirmation!
@@markevanado9463 You are welcome!
Looks amazing! Looks like it is user friendly, I'm going to consider this for the Scat Pack.
Daytona 5.7 It’s very user friendly and the results are amazing. The UV light makes application way easier then the traditional style coatings.
Looks amazing how many towels did you had to use
Gene1984 G Thanks! I used all 4 towels that came with the kit.
Tesla paint is so damn soft
Daniel Cammack Tell me about it! 😂
I did read some where that you can apply a second coat
Jason Deal Yes you can but Adam’s says in their video one coat is all you need and a second coat is wasting product.
Geese1 You are welcome!
I just put this coating on my Gladiator. I have to say this is, hands down, one of the easiest, most forgiving coatings to work with. Dwell time is longer than anyone could need, and high spots wipe right off. Time will tell if it's durable.
It’s a great coating! Exactly time will tell because none of us know.
Awesome results, the gloss looks amazing. I'm curious to see the wash, and if you can dry it with water.
Jay Zstr Thanks! The gloss was ridiculous on this one. First wash video will be out soon.
Hey so heres a question i thought of the other day. Does Adam's have a preferred Temperature that this is applied in? I couldnt find anything on the bottle and Adam's hasnt gotten back to me lol. So i'm guessing no?
Above 50 is what’s usually recommended and not high humidity. If humidity is high it just flashes really quick so wipe off would be a lot faster.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing thank you so much for that info. I literally couldn't find anything anywhere that mentioned that lol.
@@cavdrkz24 You are welcome
First lol...
Car looks stunning man!! I just used Graphene for the first time the other day.. Yep.. its amazing stuff 😎
MNpicker Thank you! Yeah Graphene is awesome stuff
I have 2 coats of the spray version on my car right now. The beading is the best I have seen too date. I cant say it lasts as long as they claim, since that says a year +, but as of right now, I am VERY happy with it. No special applicator used, just Costco MF towels.
watagump1 The beading with Graphene is insane! Glad to hear you liked the spray version as I have not tried it.
100% better
Keith Firebird Thank you
Which graphene coating did you prefer? Ethos or Adams?
That's what I'm waiting for. Lol! Can't wait to see the first side by side comparison with Adam's and Ethos Graphene Coatings.
Did you use 70% Polyester / 30% Polyamide towels since 80/20 towels can induce marring on soft paint?
Functional Doc To be honest I’m not sure what my towels are that I used. I have never heard 80/20 can scratch soft paint so that’s good to know. Looks like I will specifically buy 70/30 just for soft paint. Thanks for the Info
Hi, have you ever used CQuartz UK 3.0? If yes, how does the wipe-off compare? Is Adam's Graphene Ceramic Coating easier to wipe off?
mlu007 I have never used CQuartz coatings. Sorry
Cquartz is easier to wipe off. Adam graphene ceramic flashes very quick and overlaps or second coat easy to get high spots and streaks.
dzhang58 I have applied it to 2 cars with no streaks or high spots and it wipes off pretty easy compared to others I have tried.
Hey bro I know Adams says not to use two layers but how long after application could I introduce the spray version as a second coat?
I asked that exact question and they told me not to use the spray version on it as it would make it tacky. One coat is all you need
How does it compare to Ethos Graphine coating?
stvcrgy55 They are both about the same the Adam’s just has the UV due in it which is very helpful.
Have you tried car pro uk 3.0? If yes, how does it compare (user friendly application, look/shine/gloss, durability/year to date)to the Adams graphene coating?
I have not tried it sorry! I actually plan to buy some soon to test it out
Looks great FAB!
FAB Automotive Detailing I know that’s why I haven’t bought it yet and I’m not driving much these days!
Did you coat the glass Fab?
Not on this car but I did last weekend on a car I installed the coating on.
How do you personally care for this? Do you put sealants and waxes over it or do you use a spray coating every few months to rejuvenate the original base coat?
You can use anything with SIO2 to maintain it. I will just use Adam’s Ceramic Boost. I like to keep it in the same family on products like these.
Did you do the glass as well?
Midnight Man No it already had something on it.
Midnight Man I will use it on glass eventually just to see.
Was the coating applied to the glass also?
No just the paint!
Good video FAB. Just make another in 7 years so we can see if it holds up like they say. 😄
Best, ethos or adam's?
Water test next time ?. Good review my friend 👍
Nico ultimate focus RS2 Both are neck and neck IMO. Yes first wash has been done and video will be out in a week or so. Thank you
About how many ml did you use to do the car and wheels?
Never mind just watched the las minute of the video 🤦♂️ good new is it looks like a bottle will safely do 3 cars
bigjizzslinger It will easily do 3 cars. I have done 2 cars now and still have over half the bottle left.
No PapaSmurf918, no 404 not found, no Mike's Auto Detailing, MeanBee392, etc. come on guys🤔🤔🤔🙄 in an hour to go back to the hospital for my turn with my cousin.
Awesome your nephew on video for posterity.👌👌✊👍😘
Smurf was snoozing man! Haha
Humberto Roche Garcia I haven’t seen Meanbee for a long time but I’m not sure what happened to all the others. 😂 My nephew wanted to be in the video so bad I figured an interview was the best way.
I have the spray version on my car. Stuff is amazing. Smells horrible though which would be the only downside.
Nice . I just bought DPC T3 3year coating going to coat my sons 2019 Camaro. Some of the videos I seen of it its looks Amazing. It pretty user friendly as well. The hydroponic propertys r crazy too. Well see how it does on his car. Great video bro.
Be careful with the DPC stuff. I’ve read several articles about that stuff failing and crystallizing right on the paint. I hope it works out for you .
James Chapman #Autodetailing I have not tried any DPC products and probably never will but this is a great coating. The Hydrophobic’s are ridiculous with this coating as so have already washed it and that video will be out in a week or so. Thanks man!

You use chemical guys products
No I just h ent found anything that works well. I did recently use their new Carbon For e coating and it was great. I made a video with Pan the Organizer on it and this coating and it was released on his channel yesterday.
I watched it set the hood on 🔥
