I'm puzzled how and why Svitolina beats Kerber (at least multiple times recently).. I feel like Kerber has more variety and the matchup would be closer. They both move great, have great defensive skills and ability to play offense. Mental edge?

Kerber still does not adapt her style of playing to how the young attacking players play nowadays. Kerber keeps playing the ball back to the opponent, while there is absolutely no danger in her return. She still does not see the need to immediately play the winning ball and not to waste too much energy. I feel sorry for her if she keeps playing this way, old western style without brains, and aggression.

No wonder most sports channel air mostly men's matches, at one point there we're players like Henin, Serena, Sharapova, Azarenka at their prime, now there's a mediocre no. 1 seriously after watching men's match, this match made me yawn, I really enjoyed watching women play in the past but these days it's just boring, I eagerly watch but at the end I hate to admit what a boring player svitolina is.
James Stephan The women's tennis were interesting in the 90's until 93, then it began to rise again in 98, since then it became more competitive until 2007! There were more variety when it comes to the game style! They had personalities, charisma, where you can identify with! Those type of players are rare to find today in women's tennis! Now they have almost the same game style and bashing the ball as hard as they can! Then they have a personality like a "robot"! Indeed I miss the women's tennis game from the past! Just my opinion!
