I have owned TWO trouble-free RX3's. The 250cc motor is super smooth and economical. If you plan to do much off-pavement riding, switch to the Shinko 80/20 knobbies vs the stock 20/80 tires. Add the CSC skid plate, as well as hand guards. (See also the CSC blog for LONG-distance reports from around the US, Baja, Columbia - along with my videos from Moab!)
They are so much fun to ride! Very durable and can carry a load. Those Shinkos run nice on them.
I just sold my 2017 RX3 only because I'm moving across the country. Always had the maintenance done on time and it never let me down. A great ride for the money

I used to go with my enduro friends (huskys,ktms,crfs...) to trails, mountais, volcanos...
Really strong bike, I only had a problem with the rear shock, but that was it...solid bike.
Wish it had double disc front brake, because the bike is too heavy for those brakes when riding hard....
I too have taken mine up some pretty wicked mountains, in the jungle, and on the beach. It's a fun little bike but it is weak for power, brakes suck but hope to change them out . Your friends with the KTM's were being nice because there is no way these little guys can stay with KTM family... I will be getting the 890 Adventure at the end of the year, But will keep the RX3 for others to ride. It is a great beginners bike.
I bought a RX3 two years ago. It's perfect for commuting in the hilly Ozarks where I live.

I picked up one a few months ago. After changing a bunch of things to make it better for my style of riding it has become a fun little bike. I've changed the tires, brakes, plugs, seat, foot pegs. I'm going to see what I can do with the motor to try and get more power,,,,

The suspension isnt great for offroad. Mine needed a new cam after 1000 miles. I rode it it home after 500 miles on my road trip.csc dropped the price on the rx4 by 1000 dollars for a time, shortly after i bought mine in may 2023. I felt like i got ripped. They do have great customer service.the bike runs better now than ever. Now im leary about riding long distance, but i plan to again next year. I love the bike ,but not sure about a good review.
if you live in az. you cant get insurance on RX3 from no top name like stete farm or anyone but check out culver ins. in calif.they ins. in 49 states
These are good looking motorcycles and understanding this is a sales add, I mean no disrespect, but you could have ridden to demonstrate the off road capabilities a bit more than just a flat dirt pea gravel road. I am looking for a dealer in Alabama. Again good looking motorcycle.
