This trance tribute and Samuel Barber's original 'Adagio for Strings Opus 11' are my favorite reminders of 9/11 every September of my life since that day. First heard the original version by Barber in the 1986 Vietnam War epic movie 'Platoon'. To this day, I cry and pray 🙏 for all of us. Bless you, everyone! T. Hamilton, Uniondale, NY
It's amazing. One of the best Trance tunes I've heard yet as I've gone through Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold mixes. Definitely up there with my other two favorites, Diamondback by Mekka (also a Perfecto tune) and North Pole by Afterburn.
In Pete Tong voice "As he takes his Essential Mix World Tour, to Home @ Space, in Ibiza, this is Paul Oakenfold Enjoy!" Paul Oakenfold Live Essential Mix @ Club Space, Ibiza, Spain 25-07-1999 One of my favorite mixes of all time
I used to do discos for my local pub years ago. it was coming up to the year 2000.. and was asked to find a tune for the millennium ,, this just done it for me 2000 new years morning,. just another day
I love the fact that there is actually a Perfecto Trance Remix of this song, yet its this Perfecto Remix that got played at trance sets. This 1 is better though 😄
I feel like this track is underrated, the beat arrangement is so tight and thumping, groovezone - eisbear is comparable they just hit so hard right away.
Similar thoughts here bro. 2001 Spring Break in Cancun. Felt like the tippy top of the trance mountain, love when songs take me back there. I'm almost 40 and work in an office now. Fuck.
@@royalally I feel your pain, me too I'm turning 39 next month and work as a corporate slut, not sure where the last 20 years went. Just shows you how trance classics still sound fresh today, I must admit some tracks are hard to listen too again as so many memories come flooding back.
I came across this track only recently after seeing a comment on the Music Xpress video of the history of Adagio For Strings, and I'm so hooked! I love the Ferry Corsten remix of Baber's, but damn this is really excellent too. Can't stop listening to this 🙌🏼
@@garmoogmoog9696 the Tiesto one is okay, I really like the beginning and build up. But once you get to the part where the violins que and the main part kicks in...meh. It’s so unsmooth and can be uncomfortable to hear at that point. Ferry’s is my all time fav along with this remix

Thanks Daz. I can always trust you to have uploaded a tune I want to listen to again. Excpet this is the short version. Isn't there another version that's 11 minutes long? The one Oakey used in his famous Rojam Essential Mix set in 1999?

Yes mate. I’m a regular here as I can’t find this on Apple Music or Spotify. They’ve even removed it from the Kevin and Perry Go Large album 🤷🏼♂️
Maybe it’s a Tiesto conspiracy as this is a way better use of Adagio!

It ain’t on Tidal either , unless it featured on a compilation album and then it will be the radio edit.
