Everyday between 3 and 6, a small, but dedicated group of Crenshaw scholars gather in the pursuit of an academic excellence. That is, until word got out that Terry Hightower (Kobe Bryant), the star forward for our Crenshaw Cougars, was a member of our group. Now, a very large group of people are dedicated droolers.

Even if I weren’t her stepdaughter, I be a shoe in. Okay, maybe I do have a little competition with my locker partner, Gabriella, the other sophomore on the newspaper. But you know, I’m not worried, because up until last month, I had the most articles published in the paper. But somehow, that little adalin has snuck up on me. Dee has to make a selection soon. But I know she’s not gonna show favoritism, which can be a problem. I gotta come up with something to make sure she picks me, something to seal the deal. Moesha: See you at home, Mom. Well, it’s time for that annual write a passage for high school juniors everywhere. The dreaded SATs, better known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test. This one examination will determine which college you’ll get into, which determines what kind of job you’ll get, which determines how much money you’ll make, which determines who you’ll marry which determines what your kids will look like. I guess that every time you see an ugly kid, you know somebody didn’t study. To help us conquer this beast, Andell turned The Den into an SAT study zone. Everyday between 3 and 6, a small, but dedicated group of Crenshaw scholars gather in the pursuit of an academic excellence. That is, until word got out that Terry Hightower (Kobe Bryant), the star forward for our Crenshaw Cougars, was a member of our group. Now, a very large group of people are dedicated droolers.

As of this semester, Dee is the school newspaper advisor. And as such, she has complete discretion over which student is selected for the LA Times Summer Internship. Even if I weren’t her stepdaughter, I be a shoe in. Okay, maybe I do have a little competition with my locker partner, Gabriella, the other sophomore on the newspaper. But you know, I’m not worried, because up until last month, I had the most articles published in the paper. But somehow, that little adalin has snuck up on me. Dee has to make a selection soon. But I know she’s not gonna show favoritism, which can be a problem. I gotta come up with something to make sure she picks me, something to seal the deal.
Moesha: See you at home, Mom. (Kisses Dee and walks away)
