There are lots of gems and hole in the wall finds in this admiralty food court. Kam Ho (for wonton noodles) , Rice holic (gotta try the mango mochi) and aunt Polly’s kitchen ( for Taiwanese food) are my go to choices
thats awesome! Kam ho is pretty good! We've tried the mango mochi, what did you think of it? We have to try the Aunt Polly Kitchen then! what do you normally order there?
Bite the top of the XLB to let the hot steam out. Pour a bit of vinegar sauce into the top and eat in one bite. Awesome review. Keep up the good work 👍 thanks
I'm Vietnamese & milk toast with butter and a sprinkle of sugar brings back so much nostalgia! My grandma always made it for me after I came back from elementary school. I know you film a lot of videos based on the cheapest asian food restaurants but I would love a video of you guys showing us your favourite go-to restaurants to eat in general. They don't have to be the cheapest meals but places you would genuinely revisit or eat with your friends/family/date night :)
Thank you so much for sharing that! Milk toast with butter and sugar sounds so comforting and nostalgic-grandma recipes always hit differently, don’t they? 🥹💖 I love your video idea! We do focus a lot on affordable eats, but highlighting our personal favorite go-to spots sounds like such a fun way to connect on a different level. It’d be great to share places we genuinely love for date nights, family gatherings, or just catching up with friends. I’m adding this to the list-thank you for the inspiration! we appreciate you
@kingkaieats yeah they bring "small car" spots to a whole new level. I usually just get the wonton mein at that first shop. I don't even know what they're called Hah. And I always jus stick with the hot drink coz the xtrs +1.50 for cold just isn't worth it!
@@kingsleychan hahah those small car spots! oh we've never tried wonton mein! we normally get the shui gau with beef brisket or tendon but that iced lemon tea is on another level !
Ice Lemon Tea gang represent lol :) Thanks so much for the love-we’re so glad you’re enjoying the vibes and food recs! What’s your go-to comfort food ? Thank you for your support !
@@kingkaieats I love the chicken pho there but I like the beef too. Thanks for the recommendation of Mien Ga at My Chau. I always ordered the fried chicken but after your video I tried Mien Ga and loved it.
The "smell" you get from the yellow wonton noodles (NOT egg noodles by the way) is from the alkaline lye water (sodium hydroxide or caustic soda) used in the making of those noodles.
Yeah. The ammonia smell of dry egg noodles makes them a no-go for me. It tastes like I'm eating a bowl of chemicals. Not a fan at all. I don't think I've been to that food court. Thanks for the heads up.
hahah exactly! Angely hates the smell of egg noodles! Anson on the other hand loves egg noodles! hahaha yes! give it try and let us know what you think :)
The ammonia smell/taste of HK dry egg noodles that Angely is referring to, is due to sodium bicarbonate water that is is added to the noodle flour, giving the noodle a crunchy, bouncy texture. I hate it too and find the taste off putting. The texture of the noodles are also choking and hard to digest, like eating erasers. I much prefer a soft but natural tasting al dente noodle.
Totally get where you're coming from! thats what Angely thinks too! hahah That distinct smell and taste can be a deal-breaker for some. The texture comparison to erasers is spot on-definitely not everyone's cup of tea. A soft, natural-tasting al dente noodle sounds so much more satisfying and comforting! What's your go-to noodle type ?
@@kingkaieats I am Cantonese but prefer No. Chinese type noodles ie. from Beijing, Shanghai, Lanzhou. I also like udon, somen, soba, rice noodles, hofun and japchae 🤗

@ either the Taiwanese braised pork rice or the pork chop railway dish. Rice holic mango mochi is good but the cars dessert one is a bit better
The fish looks fire!🔥
right ? $9.99 for the set ! not bad at all :)

Low key one or the best food courts in GVR!

@@kingkaieats omg. I was just thinking, the small lot they have is really bad. Def top 3 worst parking lots. Only silver lining is its free parking.
