I got mine Monday... fucking love that truck
Just noticed that the salesman made a simple mistake with the introduction of this vehicle. It is not a short-box. He goes on to mention that is it a 6'4" (long-box) bed as mentioned in the title. No doubt a simple mistake as the short-box configuration is so much more prevalent. It's a nice truck, and I can't wait to get one.
Josh Gust in the world of trucks a 6"4' box is still a short box. As dodge does make a long box 8" for half tons in the regular cab it is necessary to label this the short box with a 6'4" bed. Uneducated people may confuse a long box to mean 8" since that has been the meaning for so many years
Well then, I stand corrected. Thanks for clearing that up. On a related topic, what would you say is the best way for one to find a used '13 - '15 truck with this configuration (not being particular about the options)?
I've seen some other dealers making videos of the 6'4" bed on a '13. I'm assuming that they are speaking correctly about the year of the truck.
I can only find the 1500 crew cab with a 5' box...
Is the 6'4 box rare on the crew cab?
They are becoming more common, but they started doing it around 2013 and 2014 in the Rams and I very rarely saw them.
6'4" box typically has to be (special) ordered. Most dealers are ordering with 5'7" box for inventory.
