So glad to see you guys get to my favourite band! I loved your Led Zep series. Radiohead do so many styles so well. Alternative rock but also electronic, beats, jazz, classical - every album was a progression to something new but they always keep the heart and hooks going. There’s a hell of a journey there for you to discover.
YEAH!!! This record is f@#!%&* incredible, and it is coming along for the ride with me to the desert island when I go. I noticed you guys didn't pause the song and awesome to hear on headphones too. They are awesome live, too. Thanks and nice review, as always.🙂
YES! So cinematic. Experimentation, studio geniuses, and Thom can transform into an Angel or a Demon. The Peaky Blinders scene with Pyramid Song still gets me. If ya'll go on full album runs, I am SO here for it. You want engagement... i'm engaged!
Yes!!! I’ve been waiting for you guys to get into Radiohead!! They are amazing. You guys have best reaction channel ever. I feel like I know you guys by now.
Even though I only understand about every 10th word that radiohead says in their songs, to me, it's still the best music you'll ever hear and the best vocals you'll ever hear. Even though I didn't understand what they're saying, I love it LOL
Genuinely you will go on a long journey musically and emotionally withRadiohead - not always easy but always rewarding. I started my journey with them30 years ago and I’ve never been bored by them 👍
Radiohead is kind of like a modern prog band they cram a ton of musical stuff into a 4-5 minute song. They are very progressive in the literal sense and they do a lot of genre blending but it still ends up sounding unique. They are the best band since the Pink Floyd, Zepplin and Beatles era in my opinion and a huge amount of music critics. They are probably the most critically acclaimed band since the Beatles in all types of musical magazines ect. so they generate a bit of the haters ire. Their music is great for people who are into theory but don't want to sit through 15 minute songs yet it is somewhat accessible as well. They are probably the most covered band by Jazz and even Classical musicians and they write so much beautiful music that's just accessible enough to have made them popular but still loved by Yes fans like me. What a rabbit hole this band is it's insane they even have some EDM type stuff and whatever they do it's usually great. They even have a song that reminds me of Al Green (in a demented beautiful way) it's called Nude. Enjoy I know you will if you take your time and stick with it you'll probably like them as much as bands like Floyd.
Hell yeah…breaking the seal on some Radiohead…and you’re doing it right. OK Computer track 01 is a great place to start. This is one of those albums man…I think it’s in the top 10 of Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums of all time ranking.
I am a lifelong beatlemaniac and had to basically force myself to get into Radiohead quite recently. They are now right up there with the Beatles for me. I see so many parallels in both artists creativity and drive and the constant need to change. We’re lucky we live in a time where we have been able to experience both of their music
Wow! Stoked you guys have made it to Radiohead on your journey. The Bends is a must listen to album. One of the best ever. Live performances to check out: They have a cool Jools Holland performance from many years back; but worth checking out. Enjoy the ride. :)
I was obsessed with this album. Played it every day for one year. Every song rocks everything it’s so far ahead of its time. This is Johnny Greenwood’s best work.
Also, I’d be down for the occasional session of you guys pulling hiphop tracks for US to react to. I’m sure you’ve heard tons that may of us are clueless to
The music I’ve brought with me on long road trips since the 90s has always included the Radiohead albums “OK Computer” and “Kid A”. And that’s coming from a Rush, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Floyd, Genesis, ELP fan from the mid-70s.
At 1:55 when the crazy space-reverb guitar comes in, you can see dude on the right appreciating the layering and depth of Radiohead. Rest assured guys, Radiohead are straight-up production masters with about 50 songs that will blow your mind. The albums to start with are OK Computer, Kid A, and In Rainbows. There's other amazing ones, but those 3 earn mad respect from producers.
The lead singer was/is? friends with DJ Shadow at the time (1997) and got the drum idea partly from him. If this album came out today I still think people would gravitate towards it.
I love this channel...and now we hit Radiohead! Damn La and Che, as producers and music lovers you are gonna dig this dive! As a huge Radiohead fan, I am too!
This whole record was a bit of a game changer for the time. I worked in recording studios and this was a staff/client favorite to blast on the mains. Thom Yorke's vocals were somewhat distant on much of this record compared to previous releases. Overall their lyrics can be a bit abstract, but the record on a whole tells a tale. It was the late 90's, so consumerism and dystopian future was the flavor of the time. It's heavy.
Best album since The Wall in 1979, the creativity and musicianship in Radiohead is off the charts, the whole band are multi-instrumentalists, the main guitarist has been nominated for an Oscar for his film scores and is regarded as a highly capable composer for full orchestras, none of their albums sound like any of their others, always pushing forward, never repeating, always evolving. IMO they have 4 perfect albums,10 out of 10s and their other albums don't dip below an 8 (except maybe their debut when they were really young, still a solid album but not up with their best)
Interesting choice, and you didn’t pause. There’s a lot more to explore with this group. And to be truthful this isn’t one of my favorite tracks of theirs. Looking forward to more.
The album this song is from, OK Computer, is a masterpiece, almost like a Pink Floyd album. "Hail to the Thief" and "In Rainbows" are both great albums too. Kid A is another total masterpiece, but it might be a little too mind blowing to start off with.
The good stuff. Oh yeah. Let Down from this album is the greatest song of all time. At least when I've been down now and then over the years that's how I feel about it.
This song is great on its own. But it is even better in context of the entire album. You should check out the Radiohead Basement videos. These are live sessions that were put together for various artists by Radiohead's longtime producer Nigel Godrich.
That bass line is a perfect example of the impact of the notes you don't play.
Exactly
The best Colin bass line. Just bits and pieces until the end (after the car wreck). Phil's drums so great.
The compression on the drums were inspired by DJ shadow
@@AirplayBeats
Yo peace. Try 'Mind Mischief' by Tame Impala. Thanks
Do do do do do do........do do
Whole album is a ballistic missile 🫡 1:55
Best band of the last 30 years!
Not even a close contest.
You R sooooo right 😅
That's an underestimation.
This album blew everybody's mind.
One of the best of the 90's. Not a bad cut (well.. I don't particularly care for FITTER HAPPIER) but all the rest - great.
@@mandobob It was also an album other musicians were crazy about.
Not everyone’s….
Amazing album, it was a winner for me!
finally you are entering the rabbit hole which is Radiohead its a journey lads!!
man I am so looking forward to you guys getting into radiohead. every single album they have is worth looking into.

Thanks guys, I swear you guys would love this whole album. This band is definitely worth your time
Welcome! Your Radiohead trip has begun! 🤯🔥🖤
"Radiohead are so good it scares me" - Michael Stipe
One of the best bands of my life. Thanks for doing the reaction
I grew up on this album in High School, and the Bends. Back to back among the greatest albums of the 90s Rock, Alternative, anything.

@@JoeandAngie sorry bout it
This may be a band worth looking at from a chronological perspective due to the massive evolution of the diversity of their outputs.
Right? You don’t just try cocaine.

This album with good headphones goes crazzyyy

They are one treat of a group, nice reaction.
Radiohead is worth your time Airplay Beats!!! You will not regret it. These guys moved music forward.

As producers, La and Che will find listening to Radiohead sonic bliss...
Can’t wait until they get to Kid A!
This is the album to do. It’s the Dark Side Of The Moon of the 90's "OK Computer" This was it's opening track. You are in for a wild ride.
Hell yeah…breaking the seal on some Radiohead…and you’re doing it right. OK Computer track 01 is a great place to start. This is one of those albums man…I think it’s in the top 10 of Apple Music’s 100 Best Albums of all time ranking.
My man!!
This is the foundation for the greatest run of albums the world has seen since the Beatles. They get into distorted alto saxes later.
Perfect description. The bass and how the drumbeat checks and delays slightly is so clever. And that guitar 🤯 wow👍
A work of pure genius!
Thom's voice is an instrument all it's own. You don't even notice the words when he sings.
The whole album has to be listened to in one sitting…
Ok computer is regarded as one of the greatest rock albums of all time.
This song just keeps gets better the more times you listen to it. 🙌
Ok Computer and In Rainbows are incredible albums.
Get into that album lads...
There are a lo of interesting surprises on this album, very experimental in the studio and composition wise .
This album is best experienced in one go.
They r of the very finest. Their music is beautiful technical & emotional. They r better than anyones favorite band. No denying this
he was talking about how we need technology as much as it will destroy us.
Get on that Patreon everybody!!
so glad you are diving into Radiohead, imo one of the best ""modern"" bands
once again...superb chaps!
They have 3 albums rated in the top 50 in most lists for greatest albums of all-time sometimes in the top 25.
Wow! Stoked you guys have made it to Radiohead on your journey. The Bends is a must listen to album. One of the best ever. Live performances to check out: They have a cool Jools Holland performance from many years back; but worth checking out. Enjoy the ride. :)
Them B-sides, tho!!!
I was obsessed with this album. Played it every day for one year. Every song rocks everything it’s so far ahead of its time. This is Johnny Greenwood’s best work.
Radiohead might need to be an album react band. Its so hard to pull out one song
So glad you all have gotten to Radiohead. They are a generational type band, the top of the shelf. This album will change the way you hear music.
You either love them or hate them!
Latter here.
I read somewhere that the lead singer, Thom Yorke, crashed his car and was saved by the airbag, hence the title of the song.
Also, I’d be down for the occasional session of you guys pulling hiphop tracks for US to react to. I’m sure you’ve heard tons that may of us are clueless to
Ok Computer takes me back
Indeed 😊
My favorite duo finally getting to Radiohead! This album is full of bangers! Let's goooo! ❤🔥
I'm guessing (and hoping) you are doing the full album?
Man I hope so 😁 because paranoid Android is going to hit different for the Guys
Radiohead is an interesting group, they’re all over the place. A quick cheat is thinking of them as Punk Floyd.
The music I’ve brought with me on long road trips since the 90s has always included the Radiohead albums “OK Computer” and “Kid A”. And that’s coming from a Rush, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Floyd, Genesis, ELP fan from the mid-70s.

‘It was music in my ears’
The lead singer was/is? friends with DJ Shadow at the time (1997) and got the drum idea partly from him. If this album came out today I still think people would gravitate towards it.
This is one of the best albums made by one of the best bands in the 1990s, thx for the reaction!
Watch their ‘live from the basement’ it’s great. Also sonic youth in the basement is 🔥
That was very different I enjoyed it, thanks guys.

One of the greatest albums ever created. Keep going through it, bros.

Yes! This whole album is worth doing in order. You are finding gems!
This is JUST THE BEGINNING !
OK Computer is my favorite Radiohead album - one of their best and worth listening to the whole record.
If Pink Floyd and Modern Rock had a baby...great song!
track by track full album review would be great...please :)
Interesting choice, and you didn’t pause. There’s a lot more to explore with this group. And to be truthful this isn’t one of my favorite tracks of theirs. Looking forward to more.
Please do the whole album! Fantastic to see you react to Radiohead.
I like your thought of Colin playing bass somewhere else 😂 hope you enjoy the Radiohead journey. You’ll certainly find it interesting!
Welcome to the rabbit hole of Radiohead this whole album is fire
Holy shit, yes! I was wondering if you guys were gonna around to some Radiohead
First reaction to Radiohead is Airbag? OH YES!

Whaaaat 🫡I see you guys ☝🏿🔥 0:44
Yep…slaps.
Guys, get ready for your upcoming Radiohead obsession.
The album this song is from, OK Computer, is a masterpiece, almost like a Pink Floyd album. "Hail to the Thief" and "In Rainbows" are both great albums too. Kid A is another total masterpiece, but it might be a little too mind blowing to start off with.
Great reaction - no BS, obvious love of music and recognition of quality - you guys have a new sub. More Radiohead!🔥 Pyramid Song please 😅🙏
OK Computer is Radiohead's Revolver.
Yes the Bends was Rubber Soul, Kid A was St. Peppers and In Rainbows was Abbey Road.
Nice reaction and comments guys. You just earned a new sub and like.
This is a fantastic album, the one before this, The Bends, is even better.
The Bends got me into them I feel that they are on the same plane
More Radiohead please!!!!!
those drumsssss
Subscribing for radiohead
Dj shadow was an inspiration
The good stuff. Oh yeah. Let Down from this album is the greatest song of all time. At least when I've been down now and then over the years that's how I feel about it.
A Radiohead non Creep reaction?
