When I was doing video production here in Las Vegas, (we did music instruction content), my very first on-location shoot as a camera operator was Nancy Wilson teaching how to play some of Heart's classic tunes on acoustic guitar in her home at the time in Los Angeles. It was an absolute pleasure to meet her, sit in her presence all day and watch her teach the guitar parts, and to chat during breaks. I was a big fan, and had to overcome a bit of star-struckness! That was back in 1996. She was married to film director Cameron Crowe, and mentioned that he was currently working on a film. That was Jerry Maguire with Tom Cruise.
Soundhealer , wow, for Heartmongers the NW instructional video came out in 1996, when not a lot of official video was available for home viewing. No TH-cam. Back then we just had bootleg video collections from traders , record shows, and other fans. There was an out of print couple of video collections from Capital, a CD ROM from Bob Hamilton, and that was it. That NW guitar instruction video was really special. Congratulations on helping create something very memorable!

She initially thought he was talking about her then-boyfriend - band member Michael Fisher. After the promoter revealed he was talking about her sister Nancy Wilson, Ann became angry and went back to her hotel room to write the song. Nancy put suitably angry music to the words to complete the song comparing the sleazy side of music to a dangerous fish.

I saw heart twice and when I saw the dog and butterffly tour it shook my world. i was not expecting that at all. opened me up to a lot more than I was focusing on in music at the time. on a side note, I thought Linda Ronstadt was HOT! and she was, but then I saw Ann Wilson. wow!

Like the band rush says in one of the opening lines of spirit of radio. "The magic music makes your morning mood". The guitar hook and the drum fills are awesome in this song. Nancy Wilson said they copped Barracuda's galloping riff from Nazareth's cover of Joni Mitchell's "This Flight Tonight" when they were on tour with them. It's an incredible song that You should check out if you haven't heard it before. I'd enjoy seeing Enoma reacting to Nazareth's version as well.
