I came across your video and i keep smiling every time your parents enjoy filipino dishes that you actually cooked. You amazed me because you can cook filipino dishes. I have a dutch brother in law and he is also fond of eating fil dishes like torta (ground pork mixed with egg and then fry) and he is fond of filipino spaghetti because of its sweetness. How nice. Your parents are lucky to have you. You really do know how to take care of them through food regardless of the type of dish. It's almost always a date you made for them. For Filipinos, there is the emphasis on family first or take care of your elderly family members. However, in the west, there's this almost stereotype that the sense of family (care and love) is not really a thing where children would leave their elderly parents in homes for the aged til they waste away. But this vlog defies that stereotype because clearly, the familial bond shown in this video is very heartwarming. The son taking care of his parents which is really he is giving back for the care his parents gave him from the moment he was born.

Are you all in the Philippines when you cooked those dishes? Its amazing how you can cook so many Filipino dishes that are served during special gatherings. Even I myself dont know how to do make beef kaldereta from scratch. And your lechon belly looks very authentic even with tanglad! I am also completely amazed to see how your folks embraced the "rice is life" lifestyle despite being non Asian. Keep it up! You are awesome!
