this thing is a godsend for fatman users. mini nukes are insanely costly to craft but with the ammo converter, all you need is steel to make railway spikes. that or farm expeditions/daily ops with a grande finale and earn at least a thousand cannonballs each time. sadly it cant convert ammo into ultracite rounds :( i think the plans for this can be learnt by purchasing the plans after the main story. not sure if raider or settlers. bullion's gonna be needed
Good morning Mate, I've still not played this game but you always make it so appealing to want to try it. This tool seems like an absolutely amazing edition to have. Much love my friend have an amazing rest of your day.
@KentuckyRanger +Woo-hoo appreciate you my friend thank you.. it dos look fun.. atm everything is so big to download and takes a while on a hotspot so I'm super picky lol. I'll definitely have to give it a shot some time though. Stay blessed mate 😁🌞
The 1x options are the original values. It only took a few months for them to add the multipliers and make the prompt intuitive. But yeah, the Ammo Box really made it more useful, even if still a bit more cumbersome than we'd like. An advanced ultracite version would be nice tho.
If they ever add an Ultracite ammo option, it would be complete. When it first came out, I placed it, used it for a couple minutes, and deleted it, LOL! Thanks to the ammo box, it just works...
@@KentuckyRanger Honestly, I understand why they didn't want the Ultracite Ammo in there, but with the addition of contextual ammo, the argument became moot.
no I agree - my biggest gripe is you have to go back and forth from your inventory to see what you have so you know which option to select to sell the ammo. It would be nice if the interface for it shows how much ammo you have in your inventory - also the other downside with having the Ammo box - the Ammo Convertor does NOT pull from the Ammo box, only your inventory. Honestly I've been using it since I got it, I've had no issues with how it works - other than the interface. It's especially useful now with the Cremator, which chews up fuel like crazy, so that's the only ammo I've really been buying off of it lately.
It's still a horrible system and not intuitive at all. And still have to rapidly mash the Back button to go back to the main menu. They should make the interface like the Ammo workbench or the Vendor. This text only, console nonsense is for the birds.
The converter interface kinda stinks, but so do alot of the fo76 interfaces. Plus they are inconsistent. I simply consider that reflective of design choices made by people locked into a 50's based society.
Let me explain it better than ladymecha 😅 ive been playing the game since 2021 and the mechanism is already like this. So its not new. But if you compared it to the beginning when maybe you were playing regularly, then yea its changed. @@KentuckyRanger
@@takewhataway Been playing since release. (Not Beta...) And yes, I can see someone, who came into the game later, thinking this is the way it's always been. But when it came out in 2020, it was a joke of a machine, LOL!
@@KentuckyRanger I cant imagine. You explained that it was a 1 x 1 exchange. Definitely a joke of a machine 😄 but yea, its still a PITA to use it but now its definitely useable and helpful

Ratio's aside, the interface is just too annoying to work with
Not really.
If you gather ammo you don't use, it's a worthwhile tool now.
It’s not. You sell ammo you have in surplus and get points. Those points are then used to buy ammo. It’s a super easy interface

@Yuckyuck1870 they need a sell all botton.
@@thebl4ckd0g It really does need a running total, of the ammo you have left.
It stinks, that you have to spam it, until it says ERROR, LOL!
Used it for a while, 100,000 mouse clicks later I gave up ,
Back in the day, yes.

It would be awesome, if the buy/sell option was on a slider.

Huh?
You’re wrong, it hasn’t changed. Same max and same interface issues. The only thing good is the ammo box in combination with the ammo converter. 😂

It still sucks like give me the same amount I put into it
So, you'd rather have 1:1, instead of 100:1? OK...
It’s trash.
OK...
