    I ordered the McGuards from you and am looking forward to using them. Fantastic video. I hope Good-Win Racing is in business for at least another 50 years. You add a valuable service to the MX5 community.

    I like how you address the concerns about aluminum, especially for track use. I was wondering about that

      I actually prefer the aluminum on track weekends. Often changing wheel/tire combos on the car, sometimes changing brakes start and end of the weekend. So, the lugs get a lot of use and often rushed getting them on and off. If you cross thread and gall with steel lug then the stud is toast and some of the studs are not easily changed. If you cross thread and kill an aluminum lug no big deal, we always have a bag of spares in the track box for the car. I have seen guys have their entire track weekend go to hell right at the start because they rushed a steel lug on and destroyed the stud and missed first track session of the day trying to change out the wheel stud. With aluminum lug you risk only the lug when in a rush, and grab another as needed. So, if you use the steel choices just take your time, which is sometimes easier said than done on track weekends.

    7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum is about 90% of the strength at about 1/3 the weight of steel.

    I like how the spline drives don’t take any material off the wheel. My old steel lugs used to take material off the wheel with every on off. Pros to aluminum logs as well.

    The open back style nut is to Ensure that the stud extends into the hex portion of nut itself not just the shank in other words you can reach in and measure that the stud extends into the hex portions if it does not you can have the whole head break off leaving you dead dying or wishing that your wheel studs extended into the hex portion of the nut they're meant for racing so that an inspector can measure them

    Which black lug not fits a 2016 infiniti q50s on a 19" OEM/stock rim?

    • @GWRTeam
      @GWRTeam 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need a lug to fit a M12x1.25 thread size. We carry lugs for Miatas and other Mazdas with a M12x1.5 thread size. Sorry, no M12x1.25 lugs on our site.

      All our choices on the site in Miata sections will fit all Miata factory wheels. I have a set of the factory BBS wheels myself. With those factory BBS wheels I have used both our black McGard lugs and Black RoadsterSport Closed End Lugs.

    Good information, Ryan. I have a shopping cart open right now trying to decide on lugs for a Helium order. ;)
    One serious comment though, please, please STOP WAVING YOUR HANDS. It is hard on the videographer and the watcher.
