- The Polaris Trailblazer 250 is an incredibly cheap and easy to ride atv. It is creates an affordable entry point for kids or adults to get into the hobby. Here are my reasons why you may want to buy one.

Here's another reason, In New Hampshire, 25 year old machines are considered antiques and therefore, you only have to register is once as long as you own it. That's a savings of about $80 a year.
I had one when I was younger, I loved it. Fun machine 😊
Agreed 100%! Thanks for commenting.
Love them!!!
Though the 490 is fast and powerful, it also has more maintenance and fuel usage. I can see a piping and clutch spring change, maybe bigger carb, to make a noticeable difference
These are fun easy quads, i have had 2 of them now and they are so cheap its hard not to buy every one you see on market place.
Good videos. Just found your channel. Like it.
Thanks! Welcome.
Great video. Just what I was looking for. I see two of these for sale up here in the northeast. Both are 2004. Asking $2,400. I'm 6' and 190lbs was wondering if I could ride it but looks like you answered that. Good size for the Misses too. We have a 400 sportsman and it's a big machine. Cheers
Great! Glad I was able to help. Yes you should both be good to go on those machines. Enjoy.
they are amazing im 6/1 and 170 and i get about 55 60 out of tbem and other on 75k

The Yamaha Bravo of the ATV world.
Bought a very nice one for 1300, our youngest is 8, 12, then nearly 15, and I like to ride it too a bit lol. We all love it!
Nice! They are great family atvs.
@FunGoingFast now we just bought a 93 250 4x4 with a winch and plow as well, needed something to deal with the heavy wet snow we get at times, especially the pile at the end of my driveway. Either spend on a bigger, better snowblower, or that, which we can use for so much more! It's in great shape and very mechanically sound for it's age with numerous new parts!
Less parts like water pump, radiator, dunno about counterbakancer, compared to the 400. Rick Ritter, East St. Jacob's, IL. has all the go-faster parts.
My trailblazer does a really hard popping sounds that's clicks the whole transmission back and someone said the silent chain might be old and need a new one would that be right if you could help me out thanks
Sorry not sure on that one. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.
mine does the same and i've been told the same thing by many people
What are you getting for mpg or range per tank? I just got one of these for free, I'm a pro mechanic, but not much 2 stroke experience, I know it won't be as good as a 4 stroke, more wanting to know range per tank so I don't have to do the walk of shame, lol.
Haha. Hard to say since it obviously depends on how aggressive you ride and there is no odometer. I had the Polaris out with other groups with 4 strokes (Yamaha Wolverine 450, Suzuki LTZ 400) riding for 2-3 hours at a time and never had any issues or noticed consumption much worse than the other quads. Even though its a 2 stroke it doesn't have power reeds so the power delivery is fairly linear which also helps.
Good luck
Goimg to look at one in the morning for my 14 year old. She wants to ride with me. 2001 for 1200. Runs mint
Nice. Perfect machine for that.
@FunGoingFast yea i passed on it. It was in real bad shape. When I test drove it the tires were about to break off the bearings were so bad. Guy lied said had all new parts and definitely wasn't. I think he thought iwas stupied idk but it was junk
Just got a blue one
Nice! Enjoy.
Have u ever had issue with the reverse not working
Yes my ahifywe stripped and it would stay in forward. The shop repaired it. Happened from years of people not letting the engike drop to idle before switching between neutral and forward or reverse.
One of the best machines to make very fast... it is very light.. instill good size.. two-wheel drive.. and let's not forget set up relatively like a snowmobile... so remove the 20 horsepower 5,000 RPM Motor.. and I'm going to install a Snappy snowmobile motor on it... as a matter of fact one guy did this on TH-cam with a 3-cylinder sled motor to this exact machine very easy swap.. and wow what a snack machine when he was done and me personally would have done a better job than the people did on the TH-cam video... yep I'm into making a drag machine out of something cheap
Nice!
Got one for 240$ just needed a battery
Wow. Nice find!
Paid 300 for mine ready to ride.
Going to pick one up Nov 5th for 950 bucks...
Nice!
@@FunGoingFast picking up one for 500$
Piston and rings are ALOT cheaper then that
Chinese garbage mabey, if you're going to do a top end on one of these do it right, Wiseco piston fitted to a freshly bored cylinder.
Too bad it's not a 4 stroke.
polaris garbage
