Poor Henri man. All he wanted to do was save his friend Lambert from certain death but ended up turning him into the monster. All of his brothers died due to his actions all because he thought he was slick for getting back at Lambert. Such a gut wrenching tale man. Really hope this game becomes one of the horror classics like alien isolation and the first amnesia.
Wait, did Henri know the "Water bottle" was "infected" and would ill his friend ? For me is not clear where he got that liquid from, if that water was taken from a lake or something.
The recurring piano theme for this game is absolutely the best. It's so memorable and perfectly fits into a game all about one of the most horrific periods of time in recent history.
I thought A Machine for Pigs was sad enough (especially with Mandus' speech and the convo with the machine at the end), but somehow The Bunker managed to beat it. A good game, really.
Sad thing with this theme, We're left there unaware of what's going to happen to Henry. For most of you, I know we didn't get enough lore for his character. But this reminds us of what happened to all the soldiers in ww1, who had a story to tell but never got to the end... As happens to our protagonist.
@@-Anonim0 I had this sentiment come over me first time I peaked out of the Pillbox and got shot like none of them knows what ocurred inside and even if they knew... would it be any different to them? They are stuck in their own hell and should Henry perish in the depths of the earth, then probably no one, except perhaps those he calls family would probably bat an eye... and yet neither his nor Lamberts family would probably ever get any kind of closure, as to what happened there, deep below the earth
@friedrichkingston9923 Because Lambert and Henri were just normal people, they were friends trapped in what a lot of people would describe as Hell, they only tried to save each other.
This game makes me cry so much man like there’s no real happy ending- which I kinda guessed since it’s in the middle of a war but it gets even worse for everyone-
in the ending where you let the monster live it runs off. could come back in a later game? not sure…usually its the one game then immediately onto another person lol i really hope theres more with lambert we can do in another amnesia game with
Thanks! The only thing missing was that melancholic piano that sounds like it came out of an old record player. I don't know when this sound is activated but it stops when the monster appears.
I just remember being on a long exploration and coming back to the safe room badly damaged fixing to die locking the door opening the safe chest rummaging through the chest pulling out a med kit then sitting down in front of the desk and just listening to the music and lambert rummaging through the walls the rats eating bodies the distance screaming the game makes me deal like I’m in the game and fighting for my life
** SPOILER ALERT ** In other words, don't joke your own friend. The future is inevitable and uncertain. Because that joke, he found his friend almost dying into a hole with a mysterious water that Henri provided soon after. That water is from the other world, used to turned creatures into deadly creatures, but unfortunately Henri didn't know about that. In the end, he was running from his own friend.

War is what opened those tunnels.

The end credits theme is amazing. There can't be happy endings in WW1.
Honeslty, depending on wether well ever get a following story for the aftermath when Henri is captured, he might get a Bittersweet ending.

@@unrealcreator3356 now you mention this, that would be a BRILLIANT idea. Sad the devs didn't think about anything like this.
I mean, mandus already changed the timeline when he killed his sons, so...
Here in the No Man's Land, there is no gentle way to kill, no honorable way to destroy, and no dignified way to bury your dead.

No, but I've seen bits of it discussed online, including on TVTropes.

It´s coming from an old radio at Soldiers Quarters, near the Laundry room
Yeah, sorry about that. I decided to include those radio tracks in their own video which you can find here:

You doomed your best friend. For a joke.
To be fair, Augustin DID piss in Henri's water flask. You'd want to get back at him too.

I wonder if Tarmia was influenced by French composer Eric Satie. His gloomy work would have been perfect for this game.
I wish frictional games would make a sequel to the bunker I loved the the game and would love to see what frictional would do with a sequel

I'd say it's a leitmotif of this game.
