I really do not see this story being one where the protagonist is super super special in every sense, so he’s likely not the first to reincarnate from death with decades of knowledge of a more advanced age, but that’s still a major reason for most of his economic and infrastructural successes. Besides, people couldn't eat anything that lived there because it would have poisoned them as well. But now they can wait for seaweed to grow and introduce fish, making it a new source of food.
