I definitely admire what you're doing here. I got 9th in standard at BCS Houston and that left such a bad taste in my mouth. I went out and practiced my *** off and studied the meta in depth. I played close to 100 matches with every deck out in standard. I even ran the gauntlet with my group of friends as well. All the work paid off as I went undefeated in swiss during BCS Anaheim and ended up getting 3rd place and an invite to worlds. Hard work and dedication really pays off

Not going to lie man, before I watched this vlog I was considering quitting vanguard. I play DP so I’ve never considered trying to do well in tournaments, but watching you persevere and put so much effort into your gameplay makes me want to keep playing and try everything I can. I actually did some computer work with the deck and what I found out was that this deck is actually an actual solved deck. The deck is in fact the one with the highest stats in the game. Expected it but, was surprised that you made it work. I salute you, long live Maxime.
Just have to put it out there that if someone is literally willing to put in hundreds of hours of effort where it be research, play testing, going out their way to buy every variant of meta then they sure as fuck deserve to win it's an impressive feat mate and Defos look forward to ur world's top/win ;)
Solemn Vanguard have you tried the Augury Maiden, Ida in Neo Nectar with its second skill you can regard 2 units as having the same card name but you do need to rest Ida and the 1st skill well not sure anymore you can have a Zoa that will do some things then have a maiden of Trailing Rose call a plant token or any other unit that can call one then put the effect on the plant token then use Ida's skill somehow to another unit then having it to attack first then Zoa attacks waisting Gaurds then let the plant token with the power given by Zoa to attack

Hey Solemn, Great video! I'm late to commenting on this video, but I was wondering what sources you use to follow the Premium format meta online during your months leading up to the BCS you topped. I am trying to prepare along with my team for Springfest 2019 and the lists just don't get updated fast enough on the official vanguard sites, both English and Japanese versions. Currently going through the motions of playing hundreds of matches IRL to practice, adjust ratios and in order to play a variance based gauntlet to improve both playtesting and player mindset. The shop I play at has multiple players that have topped at different regionals over the past few years, but unfortunately they don't like to acknowledge Premium as a real format and therefore, the general group of people that play Vanguard avoid the format as a whole, leaving roughly four to five person tournaments for Premium at my locals vs the 15 to 20 players tournaments for Standard. Anyhow great video, would love to get a few links to sources to study, and best of luck in BCS 2018 Worlds.

Watching this for the 2nd time and I wonder how much did you spent during that 1 month period just to get into top 3 at BCS. That's some real dedication right there.
Bought an Ange deck, a Gredora Gyze deck and the new standard cards for DI :P I honestly shouldn't have bought all those decks outright. CFA is a much easier way to playtest, but it's mostly because I hadn't optimized my routine yet. It ended up paying off so I don't mind :)
Summary: avoid solved decks to not win by variance. Choose deck that could beat solved decks consistently. Run gauntlet and bcs simulator with chosen deck.
Just wanted to let you know how i won singapore regionals when i faced against ripple where as the ripple won 5 gze the entire day and lost to me and what i different was I didn’t gave him any damage and my win con was shoot 5 by 5 so your quite lucky everyone gave u at least 1 damage that day so your combo could pull off since you dont play bobo
