I always thought a dog's lifespan was more of 14-15. My dog is turning 12 this year and is very big. I wish him luck... Edit: literally weeks after posting this, lynfonodes or whatever it is in english, appeared on my dog's neck and we thought it was a tumor. Disappeared a few days later and is now reduced to just fat. (Lynfonodes isnt the right term. I speak portuguese so i dont know the english word. It's a ball right beneath the dog's jaw.)
My jack Russell buddy, may he rest in peace, was alive for 16 years. He was a pure breed dog with a bigger overbite than a goblin hillbilly. He died 3 days after I saw him last which was father's day of 2023. He was the best boy and he had doggy dementia. Before I left, he waddled up to me, as if to say goodbye and he remembered me. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss him.... Thanks Buddy....

My dog is almost 12, and he still acts like a puppy. He's very playful and excitable. In fact, when I tell people his age, they're usually really surprised.
Those dogs don't care about the home they live in, they care about you So if there is anything, you are their home Just treat, pet and play with them regularly😊😊😊
@@SimonIsVeryHandsome yes... homes are very important. Some breeds dont do well in places like apartments, homes without a yard, etc. All dog breeds deserve what they specifically need to thrive, so even if you are a amazing dog owner- you still might not be able to give a dog a good home.
@@reshamsingh1856Apartments and stuff like that aren’t ideal for some dog breeds but even if they are taken on long walks or to the park it’s better than being in a kennel.
