It would make a good plot for an hack rom: your character is just tired of everyone being that controlling and costantly forcing them with no interest for their feelings, you go on your path to destroy them. Pretty simple and nothing new, but it's so satisfyng to make those kind of characters eat some dirt.
Clavell is such a good person. As the principal you would expect him to be strict and hard to talk to, but he's really welcoming and compassionate. You can see he really cares about students, one by one

Yeah even just some question joke or sarcasm would be better as a second option. Saying no usually doesn't change anything. It would be funny if you could get a certain pokemon evolution by making some snide quips instead. Manners pokemon/ illmanners or maybe an evolution on the classic comedy duos. Jokster- the goofy reactive one vs the straight man- the serious one the other side plays off of.

I was laughing way too hard at the refusal to admit to being a Champion and how it kept zooming in closer to Nemona as she got more frustrated to the point she could hardly speak. But I also wanted to cry at Arven’s desperation at wanting to confirm Mabosstiff barked and Penny feeling “figures, nobody ever notices my existence…” at being told you can’t remember her. Did want to chuckle as well at the whole “look, I REALLY think you should give your sandwich to Koraidon/Miraidon!” thing because it felt like the game was about to snap and just go “give it the f***ing sandwich already!!”.

@@PTp1ranha Refusing everything could lead into the npcs assuming you’re a loner and want to be left alone instead of all of them forcing you into things you may not want to do. It’ll be more like a souls game where you ignore the npcs and do a straight boss rush to beat the game. Not everyone is interested in the side activities Pokémon tries to gaslight you into doing. Some people just want to beat the gyms, the elite four and the champion and call it done.
