Balalo Herdsmen Deliberately Refuse To Vacate Northern Uganda

- The president of Uganda gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on 19th May this year gave an executive order against cattle rustling issued under the powers given to the president by article 99 of the 1995 constitution which was supposed to cover the anti-cattle rustling efforts in northern Uganda.
However, hundreds of cattle keepers have continually defied these orders, grazing thousands of their cattle normally ignoring completely the president’s orders. This in turn is causing more harm to the environment and fueling land wrangles, with the herdsmen arguing that this practice has been ongoing even before the current government took over power.

Balalo have no guaranteed peace with the natives of the area.

Acholi brothers and sisters, dont go by their lamentations and requests to stay on your land permanently otherwise wait for a dark night during day time. Not only illegal entrants but even those you call legal will turn against your backs and heels and then regret when you are no more.

In public some people will say nice things what others want to hear as if solving your problem, behind the scenes they do other things. It’s unfortunate. Each ethnic group have their regional land boundaries so if people are in the city it is only because of capital city but the land must still remain for the ethnic group of that region.

This issue is political, the politicians in northern Uganda have been keeping their people in endless poverty so that they keep begging from them and fetching votes from them, and the coming of Balala to the region has made people in the region start seeing life by renting their land and earn a living which the greedy politicians don't want to see. Thats why they are fighting Balalo so much who acquire or rent land in accepted procedures
NRM MPs in the North have indeed used Northerners. We wouldn't be here fighting with non Ugandans brought to destroy us and steal our land.

From which Uganda districts did they come from? There were some some balaalos were expelled from Tanzania some years back and some from DRC now could be part of these roaming all over Uganda. Some of these just look Uganda Immigration cases for illegal entry into Uganda.

The ruling government with well trained army was fought by small group of labels with less facilitation and over thrown, when they came in power gained everything experience in fighting, recruiting hundreds of people well facilitated and enough equipments LRA lasted for twenty years, many died , many displaced and the young generation what they know as home is IDP camps, the new land owners appears. It's not by coincidence it's a well planned move.
