it isn't as important as people want to make it seem, truthfully. most guys who play this game for money, don't care about it at all if it was mega important, they would care a lot more about it. unfortunate that's the way it is, but it's true doesn't mean it doesn't play a factor, but compared to the things i stated, it's not high on the priority list
I agree that Finesse and Power blocking ratings matter. I've found balanced blockers, not weak vs one method or the other far more effective even if lower OVR. This comes down to a 98 PBP and 65 PBF continuously getting exposed by Dlineman with high Pass Rush Finesse. I'd rather have a guy who is 83, 78 to limit how many blown blocks he has. Again I'm playing mostly vs the CPU which seems to make a big difference from people you play online.
@@TGCRequiem almost everything in the game is thresholds meaning like 75 pbf and 79 pbf play the exact same until you reach the 80 threshold and then rinse and repeat at 90 (might be 85 as well)
One thing I'd add about tight ends: If you find yourself getting blown up a lot on tap passes or jet sweeps the most likely issue is having a TE who's crap at blocking, like a converted WR. You can at least sub in blockers for those specific formations each game.
I dont discount speed for HB but i do find "soft and quick" HBs run into backs of blockers often, almost before i even get control of them and it kills their running effectiveness. Anything 89-92spd with high COD-AGI-ACC is best for weaving between tackles on downhill running. Granted, I'm not playing online save a couple H2H matchups in dynasty each season. Speed is great for outside runs but also runs risk of outrunning your lead blocker well before youre ready to punch the gas.
@@jaydenjackson4596 hes going to have CB stats as well like coverage and play recognition though not just have a high speed. isash bonds pursuit is a THIRTY and hes going to start him on defense?
People refuse to play it like real life. It’s just the way it is. I agree w/you. But keep in mind that in dynasty (which is what I play mostly) there’s a coach perk that gives boost to two way players.
SDSU the issue is your best RB in that offensive playbook is the 2nd RB. 2nd RB runs the Pro set off tackle play, which is the best blocked play in the entire game. Ur Welcome.
If you’re referring to a blocker or gunners on returns go to practice mode find the people on the replay if you can and go find the player on the depth chart.
I’m only like 15 minutes in, but i really hope you get into the RRE, RLE, & SUBLB positions. Also PowerRB, SlotWR, 3DRB, etc. so many ppl need to know how the game adjusts all formations based on who you have in those spots. Stupid game. Stupid EA.
I just wish I could set certain personnel for different types of plays and not have to sub them in every game in ultimate😭 cobee bryant with 79MCV is not the move when you’re running man blitz
They need to be rushing the passer. Don’t think it matters if their a lineman on the line of scrimmage or linebacker sitting 5 yards behind, though it’d be better to have them on the line for it to be most effective
Does match coverage rely on man coverage ratings or zone coverage ratings? As in if I play a cover 3 match, do I want to start a DB with a higher man rating or zone rating
The cover 3 match I'm thinking of is two flat zones, two mid zones, and 3 deep zones, but I could be wrong. If that's what you almost always use, zone for everybody. Generally speaking, your safeties should always have a high zone stat. You're gonna want both on your CB's (80+) unless you're playing 90% one or the other.
so highest speed for every position, got it lol
the run block power vs finesse is the real stuff that we need to know about and its glossed over.

This video is exactly why I would never even attempt to play this game online. Zero thought process, just play speed 😂😂
My thoughts exactly
Do you scout opponents before playing them? If so, how about a video on team scouting? You are one of the best in explaining and advising!
TE stat that matters most IMO is the balanced badge. That’s the one position I cannot allow passes to be influenced by big hits.

It's a video game. Play it however you want.
I’m with you fam. Supposed to be realistic but mfs always find a way to cheese
I was just commenting during your EA stream today. Just wanted to say what’s up!
Quick jump is relevant on the CB because he will jump the ball faster you want that for a DB
SDSU the issue is your best RB in that offensive playbook is the 2nd RB. 2nd RB runs the Pro set off tackle play, which is the best blocked play in the entire game.
Ur Welcome.
For o line most years it’s pass block power and finesse and just run block are the important stats
this is just the video i needed, thanks man!
So you want fast players!? Shockingly pro level advice…
I wanna know how the kickoff and return lineups are determined
Speed acceleration change of direction juke with the highest shifty badge and always choose middle return on regular kickoffs. Height doesn’t matter
If you’re referring to a blocker or gunners on returns go to practice mode find the people on the replay if you can and go find the player on the depth chart.
Thanks I was mad because I thought in game formation subs wasn't in the game

another great video- I played against a team that ha a 95 SPD / 94 CTCH CB - I couldn't get the ball to my receiver he was that good.
You should do a best abilities and x factors for madden ....
YESSSS LOVE THIS
SPD is the ONLY rating that matters in ANY ea game PERIOD
Onside kick? Left stick ALL the way to the right, low kick, make sure the backnforth is entirely on the left edge, 2/3rds full meter.
Ur welcome
WAIT. FORMATION SUBS ARE BACK???
Do coverage attributes not have a big effect? WR’s might have good ovr at cb but they rly lack in those attributes
I love this video but when u in menu to adjust, the opponent always clicks O or B and u get only 30 seconds
I just wish I could set certain personnel for different types of plays and not have to sub them in every game in ultimate😭 cobee bryant with 79MCV is not the move when you’re running man blitz
It's bugged in dynasty. I have to set like 2 positions and back out to save it. If I do the entire depth chart it doesn't save.
How do I get my depth chart adjustments to save for online games? Every time I load into a game the depth chart resets to the original
I play cut but I’m not sure how you can make formation subs in games but thatd be helpful
go to the formation , click y or triangle and then it will allow you to set your subs
@@kliccs4769 I’m assuming it’s probably something you have to do every game or is there a way to save it? Thanks by the way.
