- I walk through the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Times Square in New York City. Port Authority has always been a magnet for street people, drugs, runaways and it has not changed much since the 1980s. The Port Authority Bus Terminal was featured in a lot of old movies that showed the old Times Square. Movies like Midnight Cowboy, Bad Lieutenant, and Death Wish 3 had scenes in and around the Port Authority Bus Terminal area and Times Square.
You will be surprised to know that there is actually a bowling alley inside the bus terminal as well as a live singing and dancing show.
Port Authority Bus Terminal- wow! 👌👌👌
I enjoyed walking video in the bus terminal which is so famous. I like the content of this video.😀👍👍
Thank you very much!
@@ToGoIsToKnow It was my pleasure.🙏🙌🙌🙏
I was here just over a month ago and stayed at a hotel right across the street from the terminal. One day I was walking through, and a cop asked a homeless guy what kind of shoes he was wearing. The man said “house shoes cuz I live here muthafucka”
Great tour! Will be in NYC this fall and will be going through so I'll see it for myself :)
Thanks. Enjoy your trip.
I was surprised with the bowing alley i was expecting a bunch of kids running around the place and music blasting but it looks very high end
Yeah I was really surprised also. They spent some money renovating that place.
@@ToGoIsToKnow Good for them, though it's still not the best looking place. The flooring makes the inside look more like an outdated mall, but regardless..
What was in those empty storefronts at 3:36? For as long as I can remember, they were empty, except the one on the far left, which was the ShortLine Ticket Windows.
I don't remember.
@@ToGoIsToKnow In any case, they must've been vacant for at least 15 years!
I have a 3 hour layover there in 3 weeks where do I find a place to eat and where Martz picks up ?
There are places to eat everywhere.
Where does Martz bus pick up from ?
I don't know
Thank you for this video!! I've been to Port Authority a few times but only late at night or at like 4AM, catching red-eye buses so it's great to see it when it's open. I've only bowled a couple times in my life but if there's a bowling alley and I'm already in the building... might as well try it!!! 🎳
Definitely check it out.
Hi, Do you recommend taking the bus from Liberty Airport to Port Authority if I have a stroller? I hear that rush hour on the subway makes it difficult when pushing a stroller. Thanks for a great video.
I wouldn't worry about the stroller too much. But if you are also carrying a lot of luggage, it might be a hassle. It depends where you are trying to get to and how many trains you have to take.
@@ToGoIsToKnow Ok thank you!
Where are the buses?
3rd floor and basement.
Place looks different. But then last time there was 2017.
How far is Madison square garden
wow, life long new yorker from queens, had no idea about the bowling alley. but then again, in 2022 we avoid going into manhattan as much as possible. a total criminal thuggery craphole these days.
Times Square is starting to look like it was in the 1980s.
NYC has a long road to recovery. Might not be as dangerous as it was back then, but crime is definitely on the surge
A New Jersey guy would know 8th Ave in not Times Square. Sorry for being a jerk, but…
You must not be from NYC.
So you tell me if Times Square is on 8th Ave and 41 st. Or the intersection of Broadway and 7th Ave through the lower 40th Sts.
Actually, this is a great video, sorry about before, I always enjoy videos of PABT. My Dad was a bus operator in Essex County, NJ who did have some runs to PABT. I also remember the bowling alley, we use to stop there after returning from Mets’ games. I was there a few years ago, definitely much more upscale now than back then. Thanks for the great memories.
