Yeah, can't say for other but I've alwyas felt Dino Crisis as a less polish RE, the Onimusha series built a much more interesting fundation from that series than what Dino Crisis did. I think this just comes down to popularity.
I agree, Onimusha 2 is easily the best game in the series. One thing you did not touch on is just how much better and more fluid the combat is compared to 1 and 3. You get the secret arts for every weapon and each of the 3 charge levels is actually a different move, but the unsung hero of this game's combat is the running attack. In this game the running state is instant as soon as you press forwards (reminds me of Ninja Gaiden) this means you can combo the running attack fluidly into anything. Another great thing about the combat is the combo properties some moves have. The running attack of the sword for example stands enemies back up in a stunned state. I was so disappointed with the combat in the third game.
This was the last good game in the series. It’s much sillier then the first game but at the same time still manages to have some semblance of the horror that the original had and doesn’t go completely go off the rails like the sequels. 3 is a mediocre game and 4 should have been it’s own thing, why devilish difficulty unlocks *after* critical mode is some mind baffling shit I will never understand
@@CursedShinobiClown It's not the last good game in the series. I was disappointed with the combat in 3 being a step back but it's still a good game and i think 4 is better than 3. Sorry but i never got the supposed horror aspect at all. The tone was different, more "serious" but there was no horror. I would have preferred the series to keep the tone it had in 1 but no use crying over spilled milk.
Onimusha 2 was the first one I played and still my favorite. Beat it countless times. I was sad when the Onimusha ps4 version sold poorly, because that sealed the fate of a Onimusha 2 re-release.
Onimusha 2 was my first game in the series. I really liked Jubei. I think i liked him even more than Samonoske, though it might be nostalgia. Its sad we never got a remaster of Onimusha 2. I guess the remaster of first game didn't sell well enough but i didn't buy that because of wanted to play Oni 2 instead. lol
Everyone clamoring for a Dino Crisis Remake but I want an Onimusha Remake!

We got the first one, but nobody bought it because Capcom didn't market the game a lot
Jyubei... Jyubeiii.... It gives me chill first time playing it.
Onimusha 2 is so epic, just wished the RPG element continues after you leave the village, but it just ends randomly.

This is the game that should have been remastered. Also, 4.
Ye the first one was so short compared to 2. Beat it within 2 hours casually
what about 3?

This was the last good onimusha game
When I saw the thumbnail I thought there was a Samurai Bear in this game. Anyway they should rerelease these games in HD.
Any game developer should read this and be inspired to make "Kumataro: Claws of justice"
@@rhyswebb1297 That's a great title.
@boru25
Game designers! The IP is testing well, get working on the Alpha
Butōden 3 was better though, soundtrack was especially hype.
