Joe, I can’t thank you enough for your excellent channel. I wish I had an instructor like you years ago. I’m happy to be a patron so I get all your lessons!
Happy to see you are actively working on new blues lessons and your website, usually 3-5am when I'm watchin' 'em 😀. Just getting back to playing after 20 years, focusing on the blues, and you are a recent discovery. Your lessons are the best on the internet! You teach just what I need to learn and sound great doing it. I'm learning fast and having fun! Thanks!!

I really like your videos. My only gripe is that I wish you'd talk in bars. E for a bar. A for a bar. E for two bars....etc. would make it much easier for beginners like me.

Hay Joe, I have been a Patreon on and off for several years but I have a bad back that has kept me from practicing and the one thing that I know is that if you can't practice you won't improve. I picked up my guitar again and have been trying to practice which leads me to my question. In your opinion would I be better off trying to learn songs instead of the scales and chords. I'm 70 years old and have been struggling learning to play for a long time
Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out. I think there is a lot to be said for learning some songs, that’s the way I would probably go if I were in your shoes. I think if you choose some songs that you can get down in a reasonable amount of time and perhaps most importantly, songs that you like and bring you the most enjoyment, that’s what makes you keep wanting to come back and play. Good luck

Wow. Been playing 15 years and this is the best TH-cam guitar lesson Ive ever seen. Called out every string position, which you never see. Fantastic!

Hey Joe, nice wee tune. Hopefully you’ll be putting it on Patreon for the tabs 🙏🏻😎
It’s been on patreon for ages Pete, there are mo3 for this over there, no tabs as it’s all explained in quite a bit of detail.
@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons cheers Joe. I’ll go take a look. Think I’ve sussed it out from this though ✌🏻🙏🏻😎 cheers 🍻
Hi Joe.
what guitar brand are you playing?
Regards
Pablo.
It’s a Martin 00028 Pablo
the traditional 12 bar blues will have more bars of the E right ? Is this some variation ?
Yes 4 bars
4 bars of the E
2 bars of A
2 bars of E
and last 4 bars are what its called the "five chord" plus the turn around
😎 cool
Thanks Johan 👍
Superb
that guitar is really opening up Joe....

Are you masking a scouse accent?
It has softened over the years, haven’t lived there for 40 years. But when I go back, you wouldn’t understand me 😂
@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons ha, spot it anywhere. Over the water me
