My Chronic Lyme Disease Journey PT. 3 | Symptoms | Antibiotics | Breaking Point | Recovery

  • In this video, I disclose details of the last 7 years with Chronic Lyme Disease, Babesiosis and Bartonella, in which I get worse, find hope, and eventually begin to recover.
I visit a new LLMD (Lyme Literate MD) in Maine, and learn 5 key factors in how I can help the medication truly work for me.
I have my breaking point following a grueling New York Fashion Week and am given an ultimatum by my now husband, in order to save my life.
Throughout the video I list my chronic Lyme symptoms as well as the medications that made the difference in my last 6 months on antibiotics. Dr. Horowitz’s book ‘Why Can’t I Get Better’ was a major factor in guiding my doctor and I in my regime.
In my recovery, I rebuilt my strength through Barre classes at Exhale Spa, and eventually become a teacher which I put to use once moving from NYC to the U.K.
Please comment and ask any questions, and if you’re struggling - stay strong!

Caught LD in 1981, didn't get a proper diagnosis till 2007. Lived 40 years with this, with no support from anyone, mostly being treated like an idiot druggie because I was always sick, tired, depressed and poor.

i took 3 months of Doxy, only minor help, then no doctor can give me any more though I had 4 months of Rifampin supposedly because I had latent TB which I never understood why, but i think those really hurt me instead of helping...since after those months I believe it destroyed my vitamin supplies and tested low for Vit D for example. I hop the doxy helps you, I supposedly should be okay according to the docs, but I am not (as many people feel). I am on natural tinctures, but not sure though I also tale some of Buhner's protocol for Chronic Fatigue....i am not noticing great things regardless....i tried all the no sugar, no gluten, no eggs, did not help so I went back to a less strict diet...I guess we are all different! take care!

My son was hit hard from Lyme, we took the natural approach, and after a year and half of treatments he has almost made a full recovery...unfortunately a lot of people are misdiagnosed due to our medical labs (Canada), our naturopath decided to send his blood sample to Germany where it was finally confirmed for Lyme. They believe my son had it from when he was extremely young, contrary to what most think, Lyme can also be transmitted through eating red meat, one of my sons favorite things. The clinic is BIE I believe they are also located in the US, very strange treatment, along the lines of acupuncture with electricity and silver water. They literally saved his life, although he goes through stages of pain due to nerve damage, he is slowly making a full recovery. Along with this he did IV therapy with vitamins, or Myers cocktails as it is known, this has also helped him in his recovery as well. I am glad we did not go the antibiotic route, being from Canada it would have came at no cost, but we decided to go naturally, and it probably has set us back by $10,000...but the end results were amazing, on top of that, this clinic was able to rid his body of all allergies, dairy, pollen and feathers. He is also using a high quality CBD oil to help with joint pain. Thank you for your story....I feel your pain, my son is around your age as well, and there is nothing worse then seeing your child suffer. I hope you make a full permanent recovery!

I am so happy that you are feeling and doing better, as only the person who is going through what you have been through and still are, knows how the improvement you are talking about feels. Really enjoyed all three of your videos and can relate to many things you have gone/are going through. For help with moods my Lyme doc put me on 5 mg of Lithium Orotate twice a day and it has been so helpful. No side effects and no withdrawal. I am 62 and came down with Lyme just over 3 years ago. Originally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and told to learn to live with it. Even at 62 I can relate to you saying you watched all your friend do this and that ... I feel that as well. It's just simply a reality my body doesn't work too well. All my treatment is out of pocket at a private clinic. It's almost impossible to get good or any Lyme treatment through our medical system in Canada. We do tend to learn to live on day at a time :) One thing that has been helpful for me for sleep is 10 mg of time released Melatonin and 200 mg of L Theanine before bed. When I wake in the night I take another 100 mg chewable tablet of L Theanine. Thanks for sharing your story. Hope you are continuing to have good days!

I also live in central Maine and have been ill for over 35 years from a long list of health problems so to study and treat myself with food therapy has been critical for my survival as some of the health problems came from Lead poison Tularemia Lyme disease Hodgkin's disease and enviornmental toxins of air pollution from the wood industry near bye and at work so the synergy of all of the above working against me was very challenging but survived through by the right spirit and live food described nicely in Be Your Own Doctor by Ann Wigmor and her Wheat Grass Book so please check them out when you can also most people are exposed to some level of lead especialy in their tap water because copper pipes pre 2014 were most generally 8 % lead and now with all the wi Fi and microwave ovens and Floride added to public water the water becomes electrified especialy dangerous with Floride added because Floride is an Alkaloid salt and lead is an acid so they together make electrolysis resulting in polonium production and when fully charged only one gram may kill 20 million people according to Wikipedia and lead leaves the blood rapidly so a blood test for it is not accurate and doctors who know their stuff request a zinc erithrosite test as an indicator of lead poison exposure because lead poisoning destroys zinc levels in the blood and whole human body so taking extra zinc each day can be critical because without it we can not make inulin and B1 vitamin is needed to metabolize it
The above is incomplete but maybe a good start as I shall add to the above info later as I need to plant my garden some or the squash and things won't have time to ripen as we are experiencing quite the monsoon now
Chin up and keep up the good work

I am in Arkansas and I dont know when I got lyme disease. I tested very positive for epstein barr. Another year goes by of feeling ill and after I quit my job and gained weight from my pregnancy 5 years ago and I have been sick since. I became bedridden after quiting my job last year 2021. I cant concentrate. I cant remember conversations well. I have spasms esp in my back that make it difficult to walk longer than half a block if that. I'm struggling to loose weight because I csnt exercise without feeling like I have the horrible flu the next day. Do you think your sore throat is from epstein barr or lyme??? I know I am about to have a flare when my right side of my throat starts to hurt. Im glad you are feeling better. You remind me of me when I was your age. I have felt ill since I was 14 or so. I am currently 36. Its been a long time coming.

I had different periods of feeling better and worse. Ultimately, trying to act “normal” and keep up with my friends by going out of the house daily, being active, drinking and eating bad food kept making me worse. However once I got the right treatment protocol and after many years, I am now living a mostly normal life! Im so sorry you’re struggling so much. My insomnia is now under control - once my Lyme and coinfections got better it improved, and my medication Mirtazapine has helped as well. Hang in there!!!

yeah, destroying your stomach is not really the answer because it just adds to future inflammation. I had 10 rounds of IV antibiotics after a spider bite which I believe gave me lymes, but the antibiotics destroyed my stomach and so I forever have a very thin stomach lining, which causes a lot of issues.

Our daughter battled lyme disease for about 17 years - At times, we thought she would not make it. The only thing that saved her was prayer and bee venom therapy (BVT). We tried so much, spent tens of thousands of dollars, and none of it worked until she did BVT. She is now lyme symptom-free and pregnant with our first grandchild. Thank You, Jesus. About two months ago, I heard a lady (super smart lady who I believe has her PHD in medical research) speaking about Ivermectin and how effective it is against Covid 19. In her talk, she mentioned that Ivermectin can also help overcome lyme disease. You can find information about Ivermectin and lyme disease online. Hope this helps.
