I had the privilege of being up close and personal with them. Dasheen, Eddoes and Passion fruit, to name a few. I was between 9 and 15 years of age. They came to bathe in a spring between Coconut Drive and Never Dirty. They weren't cult members, they just reverted to the NATURAL ways of life.
I have heard about this group when I was younger. Never really heard anything much of them afterwards, but the information is intriguing as always on your channel. Thanks very much for sharing.
the 70s and 80s was a total different time from now, lots of people wore bags, those rastarsfarians choose to live of the land, they were not mental,in India Yogies lives on the Himalayan mountain and worship there lord ,been doing that for centuries, they are not branded crazies, but respected for their way of live
Definitely! This is not an unusual way of life in many parts of the world. Of course in Trinidad back then with all the English and Western influence they were shocked and didn't understand.
I was a young boy going to rosary boys school and used to see them walking from all the way in the st.anns hills to POS, when they came close to us we used to run back in school sacred as hell
Looking back at Mother Earth and her group they raised some valid points about the society at the time and even today. For example the point about corruption in govt and society. I think going naked int the streets was a kind of shock therapy on the larger society to get their attentiomn. I agree that the only way out of this political morass is for large numbers of us to turn away from this society. Stop paying taxes. Stop shopping. Grow your food. Don't give the system any attention and watch them fall apart.
Hello Ms. McDonald, I am sorry if I offended you, that was not my intention and I apologize. I did not say that your group was a cult I only used that word because that was what people were speculating on a post on social media that I saw and I made it clear that it was up to the viewer to draw their own conclusion. I also only reported what was in the newspapers and social sciences papers written about the group. This video is for information and entertainment purposes only, using information that is publicly available knowledge. Please feel free to point out the information in the video that you felt was inaccurate and I will pin it to the top of the comments so persons can read it and be informed. Again I apologize for any offence rendered by my video. Kind regards.
Anyone who says that God is not the center of everything and claims herself as a God figure to me seems somewhat demented. And and to me they fit the definition of a cult
