The Peachykeen swimsuit is the most gorgeous swimsuit you have tried on all summer. It looks amazing on you. Loved this video so much. I have to go shopping.

You could try Lucy & Yak. The jeans and bottoms are ~£50 but a lot of the tops are in the £15 range which is H&M pricing. Universal Standard is one of those brands that when I look at their clothes on the site, I'm underwhelmed. BUT I have gotten several mystery boxes from them and every piece from them is my favorite version of that piece. Fave black t-shirt? US. Fave crewneck sweatshirt? US. Fave black jeans? US. Fave ribbed dress? US. They are so worth trying because the quality is insane. I still get heartburn at the prices, but that is because I have been trained for so long that I should never buy something full price. They do have great sales and highly recommend the mystery boxes!
Just know, they have a VERY strict exchange policy. You get ONLY 1 for a calendar year, so if you do buy online thinking that fit liberty is a fantastic option, they are actually LESS flexible than almost any other brand I have purchased from. if you get the wrong size, you get one shot at getting the correct one. If you guess wrong, they will refuse any further exchanges or refunds. I have been told, and other women in a fat women's community I'm in have been told, that we should buy 3 pairs of $90 pairs of jeans and return the ones that don't fit. Universal Standard is for sure a status brand. I love their stuff. I will say they don't hold up better than cheaper brands. They do fit fat bodies better. Just be warned if you make the leap to full price purchasing. I no longer purchase from them because I know too many young women in NYC who have been really harmed by their exchange policies on tight budgets. Edited to add: I don't think any policy where folks end up with new clothes they can't wear is ecologically sound.
There's a vero moda store in almost every kinda bigger town in Germany and I just hate their clothes because they NEVER fit, their size medium is more equivalent to a size extra small and they only ever seem to have the smaller sizes in store :(
Really? I live in Sweden and I LOVE Vero Moda, I'd guess that 90% of my clothes are from VM and the brands that they sell in store (Pieces, Only, Object, Noisy May...). The only thing I've learned the hard way is that in VMs dresses I'm atleast a size L, while normally being an (hourglass) size medium top & bottom in fitted clothes and small on the top on loose fit clothes. Otherwise I love Vero Moda to death. I hope that you'll find other brands more to your liking! :)
Sierra wearing literally any top: I have this untucked for the video but I'm just gonna go ahead and tuck it in because that's how I would normally style it

They all buy from the same labels and they buy whatever is trendy so sometimes they have the exact same items. I have clothes from all of them that I love and I have also returned so many things because sizing is all over the place. I wish that this stuff wasn't so expensive. I can see why they are but it seems I have no choice but to buy from Walmart and target etc etc because I'm on disability so I cannot afford expensive clothing like these unfortunately
I’m on student and can’t work bc of a disability. There is a lot of brands that are cheaper which have (less so but enough) ethical and sustainable practices. You can also shop sales or second hand of these specific brands. Don’t feel like you have to buy new clothes every week and wear a different outfit for every outing or event. 10 basic, high quality pieces make a perfect wardrobe
I understand it’s not as easy as that, I’m in the same situation as you, but it’s important for us to switch our narrative and know we are valid and smart and deserve good clothes,in our own way
Universal Standard - regularly does sales so the jean cost around 50 instead of 90 even for the fit liberty and you can do a return if the jeans don't fit and will keep the fit liberty intact for a later date. Oh yeah, and if you do a return they ship it out asap and don't wait for your return so even cooler.
They also do mystery boxes... I want to say mine was 90 or 120 for THREE dresses. The only thing is you pick your size and colors you like and they look at your order history and pick things they think you will like. I probably got an over $500 value.
Universal Standard is a favorite of mine. They do discounted mystery boxes in various themes (classic, comfy, athletic, dressy, etc) each year. Totally worth the hype 💙🥰
When you came out in that first dress from Böhme, my jaw dropped and I literally said out loud, “She looks amazing in that!” You looked comfortable, confident, and glowing!

I love this idea and I can't wait for part 2! As a college student who is studying abroad it is harder to buy sustainable due to the prices but I'll be definitely be saving up to invest in some of the amazing pieces you showed! Also can't wait to see how you make the self-timer photoshoot 🤍
That grey spaghetti strap tank looks so good with those specific jeans and makes your body look AMAZING!! Edit: those jeans in general are so flattering on you! Where did they come from? I want them!

With ethically made products, the idea is that you build a basic wardrobe with them. Classic, timeless pieces you'll love for a long time. So with a $150 bikini, you'd have the one really good quality piece rather than buying a few new sets from Target every summer. Just the idea, obviously doesn't work for everyone ☺️
I have absolutely saved gobs of money by buying nice high quality basics, especially with jeans, as opposed to buying multiple cheaper items over and over again
Wow, those last two outfits were gorgeous on you! The little tank was so cute, and loved the color, and the black wrap shirt was soooo pretty and classy!

I used to work at Vero Moda when I was a student, yay! I never knew that there are brands designing for them, very interesting. Vero Moda is quite the fast fashion, medium to low quality chain though...
I accidentally ordered four dresses from Universal Standard a few months ago. All in one order, not four separate times. Anyway, it was an amazingly wonderful accident! The dresses are simply enough for everyday but can also be dressed up! I adore them!

PLEASE do a Lucy and Yak haul!!!!
Universal Standard is a favorite of mine. They do discounted mystery boxes in various themes (classic, comfy, athletic, dressy, etc) each year. Totally worth the hype 💙🥰
This whole video was a 10 out of 10. Would love to see you do another!
This is perfect timing! I just finished a women’s leadership meeting at my work!
You have my first name and my God parents last name
When you came out in that first dress from Böhme, my jaw dropped and I literally said out loud, “She looks amazing in that!” You looked comfortable, confident, and glowing!
hearing sierra say “they have pockets” all throughout the video just made me smile
Pockets... "Amazing!!!!"
I do agree haha
Vero Moda is Danish! and it fits small -- like lots of European brands.
Also the swimsuit is AMAZING and flattering and interesting.
that first bikini looks SO GOOD ON SIERRA i’m shook
I know!! She looked so beautiful!
Yes!!
I LOVE that you are doing more of these smaller/sustainable videos! I love watching these but it's also so important to me to shop more sustainably and so many try on videos out there are mostly fast fashion. So thank you I am LOVING this content!!!
The swim suit...chefs kiss!! Looks amazing on you!!!
That first bathing suit looks amazing on you. It looks so comfortable.
I'm. Irish and when I saw Vero Moda I instantly cringed because their clothes are so small! X
Same! We have this brand in China and I'm a size 10/12 and can barely fit their clothes. Also, I find the quality to be worse than H&M and much more expensive. I'm not even tempted to go in there😂.
@@emilytanner9741 Agree, their stuff is probably the worst quality out of all the fast fashion brands I've ever tried.
I have to turn "I would definitely style this tucked in. Im going to tuck it in" a drinking game for sure 😂😂😂😂
The light jeans huh? I wanna know too!! I want them!
I was wondering the same those jeans were super flattering, I would love to know too!
Same! I think they might be the Universal Thread jeans from the target video but I can’t be certain
i always feel self-conscious when taking self-timer photos cause i feel like everyone can tell, but I'm excited to see what sierra does with it because she always looks good!
Okay that Peachy Keen swimsuit is SOO cute. It's so flattering!! I need one wow
Thanks for finding new brands for us!!! I probably wouldn't have never looked at different brands if it weren't for reviews from youtubers like you!!!
omg love love love! this video! :)
I was 20% paying attention (listening while shopping on the Lululemon website) and I heard you talking about the first suit and recency bias so I switched over. And OMG THAT SUIT ON YOU!!!! You look like a Charlie's Angel! Honestly, if I found a suit that looked so good, I would reconsider whether real clothes are even worth it anymore.
So excited for the timer photoshoot video! What a fun idea 💜💜💜
OMG refreshed the homepage at the perfect time!
I’ve been wearing Universal Standard for YEARS and I’ve never felt more confident in clothing. It hugs every curve in the best way possible, I always make a private styling appointment when I’m in NYC.
Longevity of the clothes? If I’m going to pay that kind of money, it better last until I’m old enough to have kid who wants to borrow it
yeah
if the fabric and make is high quality it'll likely last a long time :) you can make things last even longer by air drying them too :))
lmfao
i mean thats literally how things use to work lmao? there are still clothes from the 30s-60s that are wearable because they were made well
@@ReyReytheZebra Price and longevity aren't always related. I've seen some fashion channels call out brands for being overpriced garbage even though the clothes are sweatshop-free
Sierra,
I doubt you will see this but I bought a swing dress from Bytavi and I LOVE it. Thank you for the great recommendation! ❤
she should keep the linen top and become close with a Tailor. unless you get clothes made for you specifically, having a tailor can customize that shirt for her.
I can’t see myself buying a swimsuit for $150 even if it’s ethically made.
Theoretically I can. I mean, my current swim bottoms I've had for possibly 8-10 years. 😅
I just thrift instead, it's more affordable and you can find good brands not to mention it's sustainable. :)
Allison Kleckner wtf?! Not everyone has a lot of money to spent on clothes or in general. You are ignorant and just showing how privileged you are.
I love that you're donating to the Okra Project. I really appreciate how much you prioritize good causes and awareness. You never disappoint me 😭
Made it to the end!! Loved this video, and how much care you're taking to find sustainable, ethical brands! It's super inspiring!
böhme is actually really popular here in utah! there’s a location in almost every shopping mall :)
Highlight of this video:
THERE IS A FRICKING DRESS WITH POCKETS. 2020 is turning around I tell you! 😂
I'm only half way through this video, but I want to give you a standing ovation for choosing ethical brands!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, those last two outfits were gorgeous on you! The little tank was so cute, and loved the color, and the black wrap shirt was soooo pretty and classy!
your next video...sounds like a good time! ⏱️😂
😂😂😂👏🏼
My two faves!!!
Would love to see a review of the Girlfriend collective - their workout gear is all made from plastic bottles. ❤️
Their stuff is awesome and very much worth the cost.
I'd love to see an all white swimsuit haul from different brands to see what white swimsuit is the best. I can never find a white swimsuit thats flattering or doesn't go see through in the water. I know summer is almost over but maybe next season.
LOVE the clothes from Lucy&Yak! Carrie Dayton did a video of this brand, as well. They are my favorite TH-camrs!!
I used to work at Vero Moda when I was a student, yay! I never knew that there are brands designing for them, very interesting. Vero Moda is quite the fast fashion, medium to low quality chain though...
the body suit and light pink trouser pants looked so good together! and that wrap top was so flattering on you!!
GORGEOUS!!! You inspire me so much to love my body and have helped me through such a hard time so, thank you. Love you lots💜
Sierra do another Disneybounding out of your closet or anything costume related please my Theatre Queen 👑
I accidentally ordered four dresses from Universal Standard a few months ago. All in one order, not four separate times. Anyway, it was an amazingly wonderful accident! The dresses are simply enough for everyday but can also be dressed up! I adore them!
definitely need a part 2 to this!! loved seeing you so happy in these clothes and you look stunning in all of them!!!
This is the video I’ve needed!
I absolutely love seeing you support ethical brands. You use your platform in the best way!!
Where are the jeans that you’re wearing while you’re trying on these pieces from?! I love those jeans!
I asked the same thing!! Let me know if you find out!!
I’d also love to know!
I’d like to know too 😊
Which ones? The jeans when she was trying the jeans and grey bodysuit, were from Universal Standard.
Netsirk84 no the ones that weren’t from the haul - light blue.
Sierra, I'm literally always gonna stick around til the end of your videos, lol. I'm excited for Tuesday's bonus video because I'd love to utilize that camera tool more often myself!
