Just turned 29, never had a boyfriend neither have I ever been attracted to any person and I lived in 2 continents so far, switching continents again in January.
My brother jokes and says he thinks I am weird.
I was worried about it too and it became a prayer point for me. This was until I was reading a book by Karen Kingsbury where a character prayed a prayer and the Holy Spirit reminded me that I prayed the exact same prayer in my preteen years. It was a shocking moment when I read it!!!
The prayer was for God to not make me physically attracted to any man until I meet the one HE intends for me.
I have no idea why I prayed that prayer but I did.
Reading that reassured me for sure but I still worry from time to time, still learning to trust God fully and let go.

I’m recently divorced and during my separation (6 years) I never felt any attraction for anyone either, maybe mild once or twice. I think God just honors our desire to remain pure and focused on Him. Now I’m single and those desires are finally awakening a bit for the first time in my life honestly since I married young, and I think I will pray that same prayer. 😅 Long story short don’t worry you are not broken! You will feel something when it’s the right one and it’s time.

I'm glad I am welcome in God's house, because I am not welcome anywhere else! My ex hates me, my children hate me, and I am trying not to hate myself! I have been single since my divorce, and I can't have sexual relations anymore, and it's so difficult to have my body craving for it, but I can't satisfy that desire anymore!
From meeting and marrying my husband I learnt that God waited until I was focused on Him alone. If God had given me someone at any other time in my life I wouldn't have been ready and I would have idolized that man over God. I was searching for fulfilment in a human instead of in God. And it wasn't until I was with God and had learnt that lesson that He sent me someone I didn't expect.
Ashley, let me just be vulnerable here. When I first heard the news about Johnny pursuing you, I was happy but also sad. Sad because I'm 25 and will 26 next month and not married. I have given up opportunities because I felt led to be a stay at home mom once I'm married with a business I can manage from home. I remember thinking, what's wrong with me and am I not good enough. But currently I have someone that seems interested in me and yet I still have felt as if I'm not being pursued. Then it hit me. Only Christ can fill that void. The Holy Spirit then began to minister to me about not forgetting my first love. For anyone who may be struggling in this area, please know that Christ is your first love. He did something for you that no other human being has and that is he willingly allowed himself to be tortured, beaten, humiliated, lied on, mocked, and crucified for YOU. Even when we're not grateful and forget how faithful He is, He still continues to love us. I have had my own journey but to be honest when I spend time with the Lord I feel complete, Whole. Ashley, I hope you're reading this. Thank you for being vulnerable and reminding is ladies how important it is to know that only Jesus can satisfy that void that runs deep. I hope to see you on campus at Moody this fall. Grace, peace and mercy be multiplied unto you Ashley.

If you are not with anyone yet, don’t despair. And if anyone isn’t pursuing you, it is because God is keeping you hidden for the right person. And God’s timing is always perfect. He wants you to be with the one He provides for you and no one else. I was single for a long long long time. Many many years. I am quite a bit older than you, but almost 2 years ago, I met the man God had for me. And believe me, when I say, it was worth the wait. It was worth it all. It was worth all the tears and prayers. And it was the perfect time. Don’t get ahead of yourself thinking about being a stay at home mom etc. That may well be your future, but no matter what happens it will be better than what you can imagine.
And, of course, Christ is always our first and perfect love.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28.

When I feel the hurt of being a single woman, I just remember the Lord in the garden after His death, addressing Mary: "woman, why dost thou weep? Whom seekest thou?" And when she answers Him, He simply says, "Mary." I insert my name in there every time, and once again am filled with the peace & comfort of knowing that my Lord Jesus is sufficient for life, and no one can bring me greater joy 💕

I have also seen many Chrisitan influencers transition into relationships and eventually marriage and many times their content begins to only focus on their relationship, wedding planning, family, etc. Not that any of these things are bad but sometimes it makes single viewers feel left out :( Thank you for addressing this and continuing to post Biblically-focused content. When Adam was in the garden, he was with God and surrounded by his presence, yet God sad he was "alone" and it was not good. It simply means that God made us to fulfill in each other some needs that he does not intend to handle. We have the love of God but it does not negate the need for love from humans, it is unbiblical to claim otherwise. When people get married, it does not forcefully mean that they don't love their parents, they just need a different kind of love and relationship. When married people have children, it does not mean their spouse was not enough, they are pursuing a different kind of love and intimacy. Also, the love of a spouse does not replace that of your parents, the love of your children does not replace that of your spouse and none of those come to replace God's love. They are all complimentary.
If you desire to have a partner, then you almost certainly need it. People like Apostle Paul never dream about a spouse or having kids. of course, some people will receive grace from God to stay single their whole life for a certain goal, even when they desire to marry. That is an exception, not the rule.
if you want to get married one day, continue loving and serving Jesus but also prepare yourself to be a good spouse for the kind of person you hope to marry. God will not knock on your door and hand over somebody to you. Keep your eyes open while protecting the precious gift of holiness you received at your new birth.
@Heresy Hunter D Thanks for your reply. I had not actually considered this angle. Some people have always been surrounded and thus can't relate to deep long-lasting loneliness. I hope to find people who will understand at least a bit one day. I use to treat people as very precious beings because relationships (of all kinds) are a rare occurrence in my life. However, my loneliness is chosen freely and willingly. I do not bear hypocrisy well. I won't play a role or pretend to be happy for long when I am not. Also, I have understood that as Jesus said, nobody is good except the father. I have realized that a bad company can make someone really evil. It is very hard to find people who strive to live in truth and righteousness that you can surround yourself with, especially when you are Christian. I decided to avoid "placeholder" relationships which are just a way to avoid loneliness at all costs while waiting for those who are really meant to be. Those relationships come with consequences, especially romantic ones.
There are girls who openly proposed to get in a relationship with me but I refused. When you can clearly see that something will go against God's will, you should avoid it.
It's been a year since I quit my job and moved to another city. I mainly did it because I realized that I had mainly bad companies, unfortunately even in my former church. I had either people who only tried to exploit me in some way or people who seemed to really care about me but ultimately were steering me away from God.
I accepted my loneliness but I am constantly working on myself in the hope of being a good friend and a good husband one day.
The desires of company and intimacy are put there by God, we need to find a way to handle them properly, otherwise, they will be torture.
It's sad but even in the church, it is hard to build deep and meaningful relationships. Especially as I don't like superficial ones. It is even harder with women because some are not emotionally stable or have been treated like a disposable handkerchief for so long that when you treat them well they assume you must be in love. There is also the ridiculous behavior of people in the church where every interaction with the opposite sex seems to be frowned upon. You can't tell a sister the you find her beautiful because that's how fornication starts.
For now, I try to keep myself as busy as I can. I know married people who are deeply miserable. marrying the wrong person is worse than being single.
I focus on achieving financial independence.
I believe God will send me an appropriate woman along the way. I won't deny my God given needs and desires or falsely pretend that "God is all I need", it's a recipe for disaster. You pretend that all is well for years or decades and on day, the built up frustration blows up and you are found doing things that even pagans consider awful.
Let's be real, keep seeking God and lookout for ourselves.

I thank God for using you, Ashley. I am in my late 20s and have been a bit sad wondering if I'll ever meet someone. I do struggle in some areas and wondered if I have to be "clear" before marriage. But you reminded me that not even a godly man can completely satisfy me-only God. I made a poster about a year ago about all the things I am in Christ. Your message was a reminder that I need to get that poster back out. I also need to remember that even a godly man will make mistakes, just like me. I'll never be "perfect" for marriage and neither will my husband (should God will marriage for me). But that's why my eyes need to be steadfast on the Lord. He loves me despite my sins and doubts. And it just reminded me even more that God is what I’m really craving. No one can love me the way He can and satisfy me the way He can. That was so encouraging! Lately it's been really hard for me as a teenager, I feel like I should rush relationships. When it comes to boys or just friendships, I feel like I should be a normal teenage girl that the world thinks of. In reality God just wants me to be focused on Him, then when the time comes he will provide me someone. For now I'll just be on fire for Jesus and follow God's purpose for me! Thank you. I cried so much at this last night cause I had been sad all day. I’m divorced with two kids and it’s not the wanting someone for me it’s the voices and expectations in my head from others that was getting to me. It even affects how I believe God sees me but I’m learning to separate His word from those voices.
I love this video! I'm learning to follow the example of Christ but the environment of my school is not very good because I go to a public school and I'm pretty much surrounded by everything secular. I've been struggling with comparison and to be honest, there's a guy that I've seen in school that I like. This was such a great reminder of who I am in Christ! Thank you for this video. I'm in a relationship currently and my heart still feels empty. Honestly, my faith has been tested and feel like like I’m failing at seeking Him. I could use some advice and how to get back on track and where and how to study better and prayer during this season I’m in with homeschooling
Also, once you're IN a relationship it genuinely takes a long time to get out of the browsing mindset and wanting guys to look at you and pursue you. You've had a lifetime of being single and it takes a while for your mind to adjust to knowing you're in a relationship and start thinking about and viewing guys differently

Thank you I am 66 years old and I have been telling all my connect group about your Utube Channel and how you are so on fire for God, I met someone when I was 50 years old whom God brought into my life, unfortunately this year n Australia during our 4th Lockdown he collapsed at his home and has now been admitted to a nursing home, but I talk to him 4 times a day as we are still in lockdown and no visiting allowed. 🙏🏻
