The Dodge Challenger most certainly was available as a convertible in 1971. It wasn't available in R/T trim, therefore eliminating the Street Hemi and the 440 Six Pack. The 440 4 barrel was not available in any 1971 Dodge or Plymouth E-Body in 1971. You could get the 340 4-barrel and the 383, 2 and 4-barrel setups.
