Hi Elaine! You chose some interesting books for the Ghosts of Christmas Past read-a-thon. I always choose to read Christmas stories every year. It makes me happy! I have not read any Lovecraft books. Can you believe that? I might have to check into some of his books. I am also going to check into the Wheel of Time books. Not sure if my brain can handle the series, but I do want to check into them. I think this is the series that my sister in law was reading, and it seems she struggled a little. Thanks for sharing your reads! Have a blessed day!
Hi Janie - I did have a few different ghost books, lol, of course I have many to choose from, one of my favourite genres. I am curious to hear how that one Christmas book you were going to read turns out for sure. Lovecraft actually isn't bad if you like short horror stories - his Cthulu, Dagaon and Watcher in the Dark are great reads. Wheel of Time is definitely a brain teaser - about 8 characters throughout the series with several others along the way, lots of world building and things to juggle, upside a glossary at the back of each book to help keep things straight. Glad you enjoyed the video. Big hugs and have a great one
I love Stocker, & I'm about to launch into Lovecraft, I'm as nervous as hell about it (I've heard much about his blatant racism), so not sure how I'll go, but we shall see... I am loving my adventure into Gothic & classic horror. Shirley Jackson has been one of my great love affairs this year, what a joy.
👋 Lovecraft and his stories are very different. His stories are horror and not so much his personal biases. Cthulhu, Dunwich Horror and others great reads. Stoker definitely a great read, few of his short stories I have yet to read.
Hi Kat - Did surprise me to see how many books I have been reading from and have to say at this point I really need to finish some as it is bugging me, lol. Part of why a couple of books going back to the library early. Agreed about Wheel of Time - is a major read (for me and Ven reread). I was surprised to hear that apparently there is a crazy long wait list at the library for the books, but then I forgot there is the Prime series which may explain it. Thank you for watching and commenting.

@@Cobaltdragon Haha Elaine, the book was A Very Merry Meet Cute, and I ended up putting it on the DNF shelf. It was pretty raunchy, so yuck!
🙌 Swarm sounds lovely.
Hi Leslie - lol definitely a growing by the day group.

@@Cobaltdragon: That's some great advice re approaching Lovecraft, thank you. I'll keep that in mind.
@@Cobaltdragon: Your channel handle is genius, 'Cobalt Dragon', love it - brilliant you!
You’ve got quite a lot going on there Elaine! Hope you enjoy em all. It’ll be interesting to see who makes it through the entire WoT reading.
