Perhaps it is because it was when i was between 14- 16 years old, and this is always a precious time in life, but the years of 1999- 2001, and the make yourself and morning view albums evoke some of the happiest emotions possible. Like i go back to a time where is still had hope and genuine love of people and life. I think part of it is that when we are young we are less developed mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, so we get affected by things much easier. All im saying is when i compare my life now and what it was back then, I can easily be moved to tears knowing what once was and where I am at now.
Yes friend and it was also a very unique and beautiful time..we were more united in general at that time in history I believe if u were around then u know what I mean! Keep yr head up everyone ♥
TO EVERYONE THIS IS NOT A COVER! THEY DID THIS SONG TOGETHER BEFORE BIG PUN DIED! hate that everyone thinks that. its a collaboration cd with a bunch of metal/rock bands with rap. the CD is called Loud Rocks. look it up. so dont go saying incubus ruined a great song. they made it together with big pun.
This was made for a conceptalbum called Loud Rocks, where rapartists cooperated with rockbands and made new renditions of their tracks. I remember a few tracks off the album...Dead Prez with Static X, Wu-Tang with System Of A Down, Mobb Deep with Sick Of It All and Big Pun with Incubus. This was probably back in 2001.
Just for the record this song is both artist at the same time recorded together came out when science one of there first albums came out over 10 years ago one of the best rock rap collaborations ever
This will always be my favorite RockRap collaboration. I get chills as I listen. I remember exactly where and when ✨ first I heard this track! INCUBUS is a very cool band and Big Pun Fun 🎉
2024!!! Damn, this version of the song is still as amazing as it was when I came across it back in the day. Incubus has always been one of my favorite bands. Please don't ever take this off, I'll be back to listen again! 😊
Lol this was my high school song😂 crazy how Spotify brought me back to 2008 I don’t know where I found the song but nothing like driving my old shit box truck with a sound setup thinking I was the shit dang I miss how it was
This isn't a cover...Big Pun actually recorded this WITH Incubus in the studio. So the people saying that this is a disgrace and that Pun would hate it, he actually agreed to make this with them, so clearly he appreciated it.
incubus has been my favorite band since i was in high school and watched them open up for primus in 99. so the years from fungus amongus to a crow left of the murder i went to at least 2 shows a year, and bought all the stupid DVDs, but never once did i hear that they recorded this in the studio together. i'm not saying it didn't happen, but do you have any articles? i'm genuinely curious as it's been a mystery to me.
@penguinmon27 no there were a bunch of bands and rap groups that did a collaboration for a cd. cant remember the name, but there are like 16 songs that have different rock groups with different rap groups. they did one show out in cali if i remember correctly for the cd.
Not a cover. This is Big Pun performing with Incubus for the conceptual Loud Rocks album. it featured a bunch of real Hip-Hop emcees working with hardcore rockers. It's kinda like the Judgement Night OST.
@Drytchnath I remember when The Point played this too. It was definitely more than 6 years ago though, because I was still in high school when they did this. I think it was circa 1999 or maybe 2000. This collaboration kicks ass.
why are people hating so much? i like pun and incubus and thought this was awesome.... you people hating its not meant to be rap or rock it is just what it is
105.7 The Pointe in St. Louis used to play this all the time about 6 or more years ago. I quite like this cover done by Incubus despite my strong dislike for the rap genre.
I could have sworn I've heard a version of this where, at the end of the track, it sounded like Big Pun and the Incubus boys were havin a laugh together in the studio... Did I dream that up?
@sanpakupariah WRONG : check out how many covers they've done i research theyre library out of 20 songs i researched only 2 are originals 18 covers !!!
@hiphopisdead34 This is part of an album fronted by the Osbournes. The Wu-Tang/System of a Down 'Shame on a Nigga' colab was also on the same album. I can't recall any others, however. As you might guess, it's a pairing of rap artists and the 'nu-meta' wave of 2000. Or, as I guess we're supposed to refer to it as, THE NEW WAVE OF AMERICAN HEAVY METAL. Gag.
Has Incubus ever done a version of this live? I haven’t found it on TH-cam, but that would be amazing 🤩 I’ve loved this version for over 20 years now… dang, I’m old.
As a Puerto Rican rapper from the Bx I can tell you Pun would have appreciated this cover. It would get people to hear his song who might not have heard it other wise. Im glad his music iz being appreciated by a band as influencial as Incubus. And those who prefer the original still have that to listen to. Its never a bad thing for an artist to gain listeners. Long Live Pun. For a great Pun Tribute check out "Hooddreamz1" @ TH-cam
@GMANKOOL23 they didnt fuck up a classic i dont really like this collab either but if u think about they still keep the song alive and bring to a different genre

yea for real humanity has fallen in the last 20 years. I hate to sound like a pessimist, but its not the same world anymore.
@@matisyahup613 Grateful the algo put this back in front of me. Couldn't have said it better man. You're not alone!
My favorite part is the end at 2:44 with Brandon's "Boricua, Morena". It sounds soo pretty :)
Amazing ending to the song!
Haha yes that's cool
Most underrated incubus cover
It's been 20 something years and I still can't believe this exist
TO EVERYONE THIS IS NOT A COVER! Best "cover" of any song ever. Love this almost as much as the original.
This was made for a conceptalbum called Loud Rocks, where rapartists cooperated with rockbands and made new renditions of their tracks. Whoa! Never knew about the Mobb Deep w Sick of it All one that is badass! Both NY legends 😁
I’m just grateful this song allowed me to hear Brandon Boyd sing “punish me.” 😍😍😍
The hottest gift ever given to us back when. But you know, he still looks good...
He needs to cut that scraggly azz grey old lady hair and he'd look better tho lollll
I didn't know incubus did covers like these but this really enjoyable to listen to
Just for the record this song is both artist at the same time recorded together came out when science one of there first albums came out over 10 years ago one of the best rock rap collaborations ever
I been looking for this since I lost my cd. So glad to find it again!
This will always be my favorite RockRap collaboration. I get chills as I listen. I remember exactly where and when ✨ first I heard this track! INCUBUS is a very cool band and Big Pun Fun 🎉
This. Was off the loud rocks album with shame on a nigga with Soad and wutang
2024!!! Damn, this version of the song is still as amazing as it was when I came across it back in the day. Incubus has always been one of my favorite bands. Please don't ever take this off, I'll be back to listen again! 😊

source? I'm not saying Pun didn't sign off on this, but this sounds more like they just took Pun's vocals and remixed it.
That's exactly what happened. Pun had passed by the time this was put together.
incubus has been my favorite band since i was in high school and watched them open up for primus in 99. so the years from fungus amongus to a crow left of the murder i went to at least 2 shows a year, and bought all the stupid DVDs, but never once did i hear that they recorded this in the studio together. i'm not saying it didn't happen, but do you have any articles? i'm genuinely curious as it's been a mystery to me.
Stop lyng bitch. Its a good cover but no need to lie.
Peril.Suicide I just wish there was an uncensored version
I don't care what anybody says. This is dope as fuck
The most underrated band of the 1990s covering the most underrated rappers of the 1990s? I am there for this!
Big Pun Would Appreciate This Seeing As He Wanted To See If Rock (Incubus) And Rap (Himself) Can Mesh Together
"You NASTY, Brock!"
"I DON'T CA~ARE!"
Its a Heaven Anthem,RIP Big Pun
It's not a cover its both artists on the one song

@penguinmon27 Actually they did this with Pun before he died.
@freakincfms Well, you have to buy a cover license from the owner of the copyright. Don't know if that's one of Big Pun's family/friends or the label.

@GMANKOOL23 they didnt fuck up a classic i dont really like this collab either but if u think about they still keep the song alive and bring to a different genre
Throw this song in the TRASH
Yeah this song came out a long ass time ago. Along with a bunch of other rap/ rock collaborations.

@alecboi84 Incubus doesn't need to further their career. They have their own legacy.
