In August 2023, I flew from Hong Kong to Taipei onboard their A321Neo Economy Class with Cathay Pacific, and then connected to a Starlux Airlines flight from Taipei to Manila, also onboard their A321Neo, but this time in Business Class. This is my first time flying the new Taiwanese carrier, and do you think it could surprise me?

Starlux First Class passengers don’t use the lounge at the main terminal at TPE. They instead have access to a special VIP Terminal in a separate area of the airport.

Great review! Believe the Spiderman collaboration is targeted for mass market and I agree it doesn't elevate the brand. Nevertheless, their brand and marketing team is doing a great job!

I agree with you Ken on their marketing efforts eg the spider man collaboration etc it makes the luxury less luxury or maybe keep it to economy but not business class...I enjoyed both starlux economy and premium economy form sin to TPE on their a330neo and a350 but have yet to try their a321 neo esp on business class❤

New review of Starlux, Ken. I really miss the HKG lounges and hope to get back there soon. What a treat to be the only passenger in the business cabin. The meal looked nicely presented and the service appeared attentive. Sorry that it was a bit robotic though. I’ll have to try Starlux if I have a chance.

I’m glad to see Starlux Airlines stepping up the competition in that area of the globe. You gotta hand it to them for being able to serve all that for 1.5 hour flight. You’re a very good looking farm animal (you said it) hahah 😅

Excellent Job Ken and for the JX flight attendant she was able to speak to you in Cantonese or reply to her in Mandarin. The plane next to yours in MNL Terminal 3 was CX939 from HKG. For TPE-MNL 🇹🇼 CI BR and JX while the Filipino Airlines 🇵🇭 are 5J Air Asia Philippines and PR the flag carrier of the Philippines. If you have to transfer from one terminal to another in Manila you have to take a bus.
JX needs Oneworld Alliance membership to take advantage of CX feed in HKG NRT/HND JL US AA/AS.
