Bonjour la famille. it's Saturday afternoon here in the cold and rain of northern France, but my heart is warmed by the joy and enthusiasm of the workers on this project. what a treat to see Lady Framers getting the job done. Ashley, there's no shame in making a mistake from time to time. But after correcting the error, it's all good in the neighborhood. Adalai, your Goat Barn will be the talk of Cochise County. I'm so happy for you. If your Goat barn is named Roger, we could theoretically ask the question: "who framed Roger Rabbit ?" We can honestly say: it was Ashley.
I really liked your idea to paint a big goat head on the outside of the barn. I think it would make you smile every time you see it. Love watching your videos.
Was out riding my motorcycle around yesterday and just happened to drive past your place, I would have stopped in but you were working on the shipping container and didn't want to bother you, shipping container is looking real nice, your daughter is doing a great job
You ladies knocked that wall framing out! What a team! Your daughters are going to be so thankful for having you learn the correct way and for teaching them how to fix the problems and move forward! They will probably never make those same errors again! Carpentry is about learning how to cover up your mistakes! Absolutely love this series but looking forward to seeing your progress on the home as well!
It must be wonderful to have a little mini-me like Adali. Adali, you are so lucky to have such supportive, creative, hardworking and fun parents. You go girl!
YES☀️ AWESOME! ! Beautiful work Legendairy Goat Crew ! I can feel it, the sunlight streaming into the barn and the vibe of happy goats doing their things with loving, caring family ! Way to be Ashley ! Your craftsmanship is awesome and so inspirational ! The redo on the studs (for the cross walls) was especially great, being that I can see myself doing the same, as I have with sewing as a kid and my mom teaching me to simply remove the stitching and do it again properly. As "creators of beautiful things" we all learn as we go, whether framing, sewing, sculpting oh the list goes on and on.... I've been wanting to frame in a few walls off of my workshop and with that "little" redo segment I'm less intimidated to just go for it, thanks again. 🐐 ♥️
Wow, it's looking fantastic! Great job on the framing, everyone. And I love the little sneak peeks at the end. So exciting to see what's happening next on the goat barn.
Wow, look how much work you got done!! Love how much help your son was. What an awesome little builder. Pretty soon you can tell the boys go drill holes for the fence line. Great parenting. Great teachers!! Love to see them so happy and proud to help.
It's great fun to see how you come forworth with the 'goatcastle'. All the interactions between the family-members, the jokes and the sometimes silly regards (😄🤣! ... sorry!), the learningproces... The way you work together is almost like a good oiled machine... very nice! And... 'Oh NO... 😕, the end of the video allready ☹!!' I wished they were so much longer... ❤
I love watching and learning along with you all. And to all the bona fide Tiny Shiny Homies out there, the support and love that you share with Ashley, Jonathan, and the Fab Four restores my faith in humanity.
I love watching you guys! So much fun mixed in with the hard work. Your kids definitely learning an amazing work ethic, not typical with their generation.
AWESOME FOR BASIC FRAMING, THEM Cs ARE WHERE THE WALLS TIE IN. KING STUDS FOR WINDOWS, AND TRIPLE STUDS AT CORNERS. MY POPS WAS A CONTRACTOR AND WE DONE BUILT A LOTTA HOUSES IN CALI. DOIN A GREAT JOB WITH ALL THE WOOD JOBS ASHLEY. BE BLESSED YA ALL👍👍🙏🙏
Amazing work! And as a family! How excited are u Adelai?! Ur making ur dream a reality! And w so much support from ur family! I can't wait to see the other kids' dreams come to life! Thank u for the close up shots for technique w the saw. And for not being afraid to point out ur errors. I'm learning not just from my own mistakes, but I learn from others' as well
thanks for the videos! the reason for the framing detail where intiror partitions join is to provide a place to nail or screw your sheathing to without the 3x stud there is no timbre behind the drywall edges . so while it is still structurally more than sufficient it will be far better in your finishing stages if your panelling is secured lol.
The framing seems to be going well after you fixed the wall attachment problem. I'm so impressed that you went back and fixed that. The little pony wall above the windows and doors. No headers needed since the walls aren't carrying a load like a roof. I love the Wall-E and EVIE pictures drawn on the wall. You're getting so good on framing! I like your bench (glorious throne) Jax! Bulge cuts! I hope you run wire up high so the animals are less likely to get to it. The wall looks great! That's great getting the ceiling joists up. It is nice having tall kids! Yay, last wall up! Yay, you got the AB mix to shore up the side dirt of the container. Thanks for this video Longnecker family!
So awesome! I am excited for this Legendairy goat barn as if I am helping to build it and get it finished on time! Thank you for sharing this adventure!
That looks awesome Ashley! Your dad is probably pretty proud right now!! I’m really glad you fixed those spots. If it had been me, it would’ve driven me crazy to leave them! Assuming I knew. I didn’t, but I’m glad I do now in case I need to frame something random. Lol 😂 Love your fam! ♥️ Jess from Oregon.
One thing that comes to mind, is make sure that you give the top a good coat of a weather resistant paint or the like. In some case a Bitumen based paint does a good job, as it sticks like s...t to a blanket and plugs small holes and dents.
... Excellent framing skills! My late dad was also an experienced builder, and if he had told me that I had built something incorrectly, but it would be okay, I would have also taken it apart and set it right. Your framing skills are going to improve immensely. Great job on a sublime project. Your daughter's dream is coming to fruition. She has excellent parents, an excellent family. Hugs from Midland, Texas.
Love this project and how quickly it is coming along. Adali is absolutely gorgeous. Oh my, she has grown since the beginning of your channel. Keep pushing forward. d
🪛🪚🪓What a beautiful job, family gets together it helps in a project.🐁🐐 Adeline must be very thankful for her family to get together and help her with her dream. 🐑Oh and by the way 🔨Jonathan tool belts come in pink and black 🐄Maybe Ashley would like one or her own and one more thing maybe you should consider on another shipping container just in case of a storm that way all the animals would be safe and dry and out of the rain. I would like you to know you are doing a lovely job teaching your children hand on hand and in a family environment and you know what your teaching them. God bless you all.until we meet again next video soon. Take care..
If you have the budget, I would clad the outside and put a sloping roof on top of the goat barn. The cladding will help with insulation and the roof will allow you to collect rain water.
Yay for framing! You guys are doing great!! I'm so excited to watch all the progress and your family is just so great! Good stuff. Keep spreading that Aloha 🌺
Was wondering if cement fiber siding panels would be good for the interior walls. Pre paint them Get a couple of broom heads and attach them to the corners of the container on the outside for scratching stations or the posts of the overhang.
17:21 that receptacle next to the window or the door there if you scab in a piece of wood so that you’ll be able to trim the outlet out later it’s too close to the opening
Good job, you guys are good framers. I remember from my time working in construction, a co-worker said, "I've cut it three times' and it's still too short".
You are making such great progress! I am guessing you probably are already done and just editing the video at this point. Ashley, so proud of you for adding one more thing to your skill set. Funny, you talking about the kids being tall, I noticed how tall Jet is getting a video or 2 ago. This build is something to be super proud of!
Great job girls and a couple of guys. When your dad was talking Adali (sorry if that is spelt wrong) I could so see you, I think more so because he was wearing a hat. Wonderful work today. Or the other day, you know what I mean. Loving the process. Cheers from New Zealand. 🇳🇿
Your project is coming along nicely. I think we used 300 2x4s to frame out Embers studio, and that includes all of my goofs, lol Thanks for sharing and as always keep building 👍
You're a lucky girl to have all those great tools to play and work with and have such a hot assistant to wear your tool belt who knows that you know better than he does.
Good morning I hope your hours are having a wonderful day keep up on the barn or whatever you guys are working to keep up the good work I think she's going to be a lot happier with this that way you'll be able to clean up all the are there and fix this up for goats and stuff
@@TinyShinyHome I know you lie in the United States. You guys are really knocking this one out! Ashley, not only the plaster queen, but now the framing queen!!!
I love it when kids are old enough to understand innuendo, the innocent giggles always crack me up!

Our little ranchito was named Cool Breeze Ranch so I noticed your comment and totally agree 🐝

Doing a fantastic job and everyone makes mistakes. That is how we learn.
Love that Adali is learning power tools! Nice job Ashley!
Wow, it's looking fantastic! Great job on the framing, everyone. And I love the little sneak peeks at the end. So exciting to see what's happening next on the goat barn.
Wow it’s coming right along. The goats are going to love their new place!!
You girls are rocking it. Can’t wait for the kids. ❤❤❤🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Best pro tip I've ever heard, "the tool belt helper"
I love that you are showing your daughters how to use tools. Great job.
Really so exciting to see this all coming together. Adali AND the goaty-mamas and kids are going to be so happy and at home!!❤
I am glad you are learning how to Fram but the best part is you are also the teacher that's a blessing thank you

Dad used to turn the 2X4s sideways for more space along outside walls in closets, basement walls ~ still gives support.
Might not be room for enough insulation
If you have the budget, I would clad the outside and put a sloping roof on top of the goat barn. The cladding will help with insulation and the roof will allow you to collect rain water.

You are making great progress! Can't wait to see the final project.
Love your work! Will you use the window cut-outs for window hoods I wonder? 😊
Maybe!
Good job, you guys are good framers. I remember from my time working in construction, a co-worker said, "I've cut it three times' and it's still too short".
😂
Love this project!

So exciting! As usual, you guys are doing an AMAZING job!! ❤
This is a super fun project to watch. I'm learning so much. You're doing such a great job. Carry on!
FYI. Little Mountain Ranch has a video of her four sheep lambing in the last few days. So cute.
Great job Ashley and gang!! I would have done that too, take it out and redo it! 🖐 from Northern California 😎
You should make the door inside a Dutch door.
You all had me laughing this morning !
Your project is coming along nicely. I think we used 300 2x4s to frame out Embers studio, and that includes all of my goofs, lol
Thanks for sharing and as always keep building 👍
Such a great episode. I did not want it to end.
That’s a beautiful building… actually everything is well done…I’ve truly enjoyed your site
This is so exciting!!! ❤
Gotta get my husband one of those tool belts!!😂❤️👍
Great work... and it went up so well...

Great job! Look forward to what comes next~!
It’s so fun to watch it all come together. Well done!
It’s coming together so fast!!! Looking great guys!! ❤
Yall give me confidence fixing thngs

That was great framing guys and it went fast. Well done guys. Love and be safe!😘🤗🌼🇻🇪

Everyone go pause and read 10:51 and DO IT! 😂❤️ It’s coming along nicely guys, love you and have a great weekend! 😊❤
Looking great for the goat mamas!!
Looks great, makes a nice home for goats
Mistakes you made, Ashley, are why it makes sense to use framing screws instead of nails! ❤️
Things are really shaping up!
Happy see it going up 🐐
Fantastic and such great team work!
Good job guys looks amazing x
OMG I knew you were gonna fix the stud mistakes the second you explained them!! I would have also
12:44 Jonathon you need a bigger hammer, but trimming the board up is easier method, and it works great
Just checking in to make sure you are ok with the fires that we have just seen on the news in Australia. I hope your family is safe and well.xx
umm, we dont live in Australia.
