I would like to add a little more to this topic. specifically in order to check longevity of an individual, we have to check strength of lagna and its lord, 8th house and its lord, and 3rd house and its lord as well because 3rd is 8th from 8th( bhavat bhavam concept). specifically for gemini and virgo ascendants, mars is a not a very good planet and its placement in own houses can bring some relief. else reduces lifespan drastically in virgo ascendants if its heavily afflicted!! check horoscope of harshad mehta, one will understand.
