I wonder if the wrong exhaust valves were fitted. Being unfamiliar with the motor and not paying attention, does it have pushrods that might be too short. Turn the engine and watch the valves.
It almost did! I think it was just teasing though. I got a few coughs out of it if I sprayed a bunch of starting fluid in there, but nothing more than that. Next time will be better! 😁
Hi I really like your video, I my grand father have a TR7 and i want to drain the oil. But the car is far from me, can you tell me the size of the drain plung. I can't find it on internet. Thanks
Thanks! I couldn't tell you what the size is as I've got the engine all packed away for storage at the moment. I seem to remember it's a square head, I think I just used an adjustable spanner?

Fairly sure they're the standard valves fitted, they did open and close quite well.
