Nevertheless she is manipulating powerful people effortlessly just by dropping some information here and there and has a completely grasps of not only the state of her own nation but also the state of the Empire, an enemy nation.
As an anime only, the final scene into the ending credits gave me chills. Bravo Madhouse for showing off the hidden personality of the princess in such a creepy way. 👏
Her brother's comment about her being a monster seems to have been more than just a random insult. That may explain why some of the nobles don't like her very much.

I think it would be more accurate to call her a high functioning sociopath. She knows the difference between right and wrong, but she doesn't feel things like normal people do.
She has a few different plans for him, but her perfect solution is she wants him to get killed whilst out on a mission, then she can bring him back to life. Unfortunately bringing someone back to life in this world leaves their body extremely weak, so she plans on locking him up and raping him for basically the rest of his life, whilst he cannot do anything to stop her.

Great episode this week. Though as a LN reader there's one scene I'm really sad they skipped. They skipped showing most of Sebas' rampage. In particular a scene where he roundhouse kicks a dude's head straight off. That and a Tsuare scene that was skipped a couple episodes back makes me sad, but still, overall this adaption is much stronger than Season 1, unless they seriously butcher Volume 6, I'll give em a thumbs up. Speaking of Volume 6, this is the point in the series where Overlord truly becomes great. Anime only's are in for a treat, and as a LN reader I sincerely hope they make a season 3. The series just gets better and better.
The production committee probably only greenlit 13 episodes, and if there were even just a few more it would of probably just been more scenes adapted.
Reaction on the internet from vocal people isn't how to judge success. A lot of anime don't make a killing in return if I'm remembering right. Anime is usually made to promote the Light Novel/Manga. Overlord is an exceptionally popular LN in Japan, and Volume 13 is releasing shortly after the Anime ends. I have no doubts that is gonna sell like crazy. Whether there's a 3rd season depends entirely on the TV company giving the green light. They've got enough material for 2 more seasons, and if they do keep it going, probably a 5th season in a couple years.

MadHouse isn't known for Season 2's either and this season of Overlord stopped that trend. I wouldn't worry about it. Volume 13 of the Light Novel will release really soon after this season ends and the goal of a lot of anime is to be marketing for the respective Light Novel, and Overlord is already a monster when it comes to Light Novel sales so I wouldn't worry.
i enjoyed the lizars arc but god damn this arc with the knight is boring as fuck its so cheesy when he fights the illusion guy i love wjen they show sebas other then that it sucks even tho its character development its cheesy development ive seen a thousand times already

Then episode 11 is when they fight all members of eight fingers. 12 is when evil eye meets entoma. Then 13 we get a full fight of momon and demiurge fughting in the forest and that will end in a cliff hanger
Hope you saw the end credit scene, but yes they did show that Shalltear grabbed the sword “backwards” meaning her fingers were pointed at her when she grabbed it lol. The rest of Brains attacks were deflected by her nail, plus they showed a reminder when Brain woke up in Gazef’s house, I believe this was on episode 6, after the Cocytus one-sided battle lol.

I feel ya. When I became aware of her existence, I had a strange type of vibe from her until I spoiled myself and found out about her true side on the wiki. All I got to say is that Climb is gonna need an ungodly amount of luck to survive if he were to ever find out.
Even though I already knew that there's something wrong with the princess from the first few episodes, the ending on this episode really caught me off guard. Normally yanderes share the same concept of protecting their lovers, and this also applies for the princess, but her expressions really show her desire of ending the life of whoever makes fun of Climb, which makes her become a much more interesting character. With that being said, I really hope she gets more screen time and I would love to know the origin of her relationship with Climb.

The princess thing was kinda obvious, to be honest I first thought she wasn't the real princess but some kind of monster that could take her appearance (and the real princess would have been the girl Sebas saved). That said I'm fine with her being "just" a psycho.
that transition was brilliant. About the princess i was like "meh she seems nice and thats it" then i saw the mirror part and was like "oh boy" then i heard the homicidal thoughts "oh you're fucked" and finally that transition and was "oh boy OOOOH BOY now that is the good stuff"
When the princess showed her true personality, it was like a... I knew she was too nice moment. And also a strange sense of terror. Just how sociopathic she acted, when trying to put on the right 'smile' , wasn't the repeated Kill her in her head, nor the fact that she seemed blood lust, and crazy over climb, but the fact she seems so inhuman that she needs to fake a smile in such a way. Just creepy. I Love it.
Whatdidyoucallme1 if we're talking about the top crew then the weakest would be Victim followed by Demiurge. Shaltear is actually really strong with one of the Twins Mare (With her all her Beasts) at second. Cocytus beats Albedo, Albedo beats Sebas, Sebas beats Cocytus when comparing those three. The strongest being in Nazarick is one of Albedo's sister. Much stronger than Ainz the way it was worded. Edit: I'm not sure how Pandora's Actor scale considering what his ability does. Also Gargantuan is definitely stronger than shalltear but he has no will.

The Guardians all have specialties. Shalltear is the most balanced and can last really long in a fight. Gargantua has the highest stats and is _technically_ the strongest but he has no sentence. Cocytus has the highest attack power with a weapon. Aura is the strongest in group combat and guerilla warfare. Mare has the strongest area effect attack. Demiurge is the most intelligent and is something like the jack of all trades. Victim is the weakest but it has a special ability that makes it a secret weapon. And Albedo has the strongest defense skills and is a powerful tank.

A few episodes ago I noticed that the ending with the princess flashing her psychotic side and faded to normal.I was truly interested and curious and now this week's episode not only reveals her dark side but transition to the ending...OMG That was truly well done.I'm an anime-only person and I gotta say Madhouse that was beyong perfect to end that episode.

LN if you want all the details on the characters, plot and story. Manga is pretty much the same as the anime but has more expressive art and light heart scenes of the characters here and there. Eg. Chibi Ainz.

That ending was the scariest and creepiest I've seen in a while. Just because of how it transitioned from her calmly saying "I'll kill you" to the intense eye and to that beautiful yet extremely terrified outro OMG
A lot of action scenes were cut from Anime....Because of Gore bloody censorship. For example, ebas murdered all guards on his way inside by mutilation, because he lost his temper while thinking about poor Tuare.

9:35 That doesn't actually make sense in Overlord, since it's not a thing you can do, NW is just a fantasy world with Yggdrasil 'rules' tacked on top of it to cover any existing holes, not a game world with fantasy on top of it. Getting lethally wounded will still kill you, and just resting won't do you any good when it comes to wounds besides the normal resting for several days/weeks to recover from exhaustion and for wounds to close and heal properly like, well real life. Healing magic and potions are only things that can help with serious injuries preventing long term damage, for example having a tendon or a muscle cut, magic can heal and undo that damage, bandaging and resting it off will leave you a crippled without that muscle or tendon. If it wasn't for Brain saving him, or for Climb being princess's personal guard with strong potions at hand, Climb would have bleed out and died before Sebas arrived.
Anime only here, that transition was definitely amazing. I knew something was wrong with her because of the ending, but damn that reveal was just on point. I screamed at the screen, then rewinded and watched that part again lol

the sence with the princess was awesome, I had to re-watch the episode so it can truly wash over. The forshadowing for the princess in the previous episodes was spot on and gave me a nice chill. As for climb I see him as a potential berserker class hero but thats just me
What I find interesting about the Princess and Climb's relationship is their personalities. Climb is a man who is so devoted to his girl that he will stand in the face of death just to be with her. The princess, from what I can tell, is a crazed psychopathic killer who would murder anyone who made fun of or talked down her man. Interesting. Very interesting. I'm really interested to see where this goes.
Now im not the only one right, i picked up on a couple things in the light novels and manga details that i never noticed before. Like how the price zenate spelt something like that and the noble guy with him also said she was monster or who tsuar is( dont worry no spoilers here )
For the longest time I thought the ending was showing the princess as a psycho, but I was full on expecting her to kill Cline due to some sick morbid fixation on murder. This scene and transition really hit me as a shock. It was quite impressive.
I loved the part when Sebas completely destroyed the old man but the ending with the princess was the icing on the cake for me. Everything related to the princess that we knew so far topped with this episodes ending was so masterfully done, truly. The princess might be physco but at least we're now 100% sure that she definitely has a thing for Climb. Besides, who doesn't love it when there's physco intensely in love with someone to extends unknown. You gotta admit, it makes for a hell of a story and plot ;D
Season 2, ep #10. At the end Albeto made a whispered a comment , ' Ridiculous!'. Was this about the name change of lord Ains from his original name or is it because of his wanting to save the human girl? I've heard of both sides are it.
Bleeding out still exists in this universe though, maybe it's like a status effect but yeah it's still explainable how he can heal himself since it's a game world

And yea, w/ Overlord nealy every ep feels like it fucking flies by. It's alright tho, the next three should be the most intense of the season

semi-anime only here. but i read the wiki in the past reading character details so i walked into that one on renner's side. but still that transition into the ed was masterpiece for me. i have low expectations so i may be exaggerating but minor artistic/editing decisions like these are like candies made of bliss.
This princess seems as sincere as I am in her just pursuits abroad, and she bears a similar personal darkness to my own at home, except for the fact that she lets loose over more slight matters than I would. Unbalanced folk like us DO exist. It is nice to see that the series takes rather realistic approaches to how people are with nuances that make our behaviors appear incongruent to the onlooker, but exist anyway for reasons that actually make sense to the ones wearing the shoes. Human beings operate at different logical wavelengths and bear different innate values at different priority levels either from nature or nurture (both are involved, it's not an either/or matter). It's why we are different in the first place, and it's also why nobody gets to have nice things.
Renner is like Potema of the elder scroll "I am the Queen of Solitude, the daughter of the Emperor! Summon the daedras! I will sell the soul of all my subjects for a little comfort.". Put Nazarick in the place of the daedra and you have the storie of Renner's life

From a socio-economical perspective it doesn't make sense to end slavery (which is the princess' doing), when you haven't found means to render them useless. Momon did point out that through magic the history of that world developed differently than ours. It hasn't been shown, if they practise large scale magically enhanced industrial production, or if they managed to enslave an inferior species. So if latter is not the case, the princess is not a proclaimed genius, at least not in economics.

i enjoyed the lizars arc but god damn this arc with the knight is boring as fuck its so cheesy when he fights the illusion guy i love wjen they show sebas other then that it sucks even tho its character development its cheesy development ive seen a thousand times already
zzMedVeDzz I have feeling season 2 is going to end in a cliff hanger. That arc takes maybe 5 episode and we got like 4 left. Next is sebas judgement that may take the whole episode. Then episode 11 is when they fight all members of eight fingers.
12 is when evil eye meets entoma. Then 13 we get a full fight of momon and demiurge fughting in the forest and that will end in a cliff hanger
upcoming episodes will be enough to make this season worthwhile. having high expectations from madhouse to see how they will create total chaos.
Hope you saw the end credit scene, but yes they did show that Shalltear grabbed the sword “backwards” meaning her fingers were pointed at her when she grabbed it lol. The rest of Brains attacks were deflected by her nail, plus they showed a reminder when Brain woke up in Gazef’s house, I believe this was on episode 6, after the Cocytus one-sided battle lol.

As soon as the princess showed up in the manga I had a feeling she wouldn't be as nice as She appeared, didn't know how it would go, but any character that nice is suspicious.
I feel ya. When I became aware of her existence, I had a strange type of vibe from her until I spoiled myself and found out about her true side on the wiki. All I got to say is that Climb is gonna need an ungodly amount of luck to survive if he were to ever find out.
Even though I already knew that there's something wrong with the princess from the first few episodes, the ending on this episode really caught me off guard. Normally yanderes share the same concept of protecting their lovers, and this also applies for the princess, but her expressions really show her desire of ending the life of whoever makes fun of Climb, which makes her become a much more interesting character. With that being said, I really hope she gets more screen time and I would love to know the origin of her relationship with Climb.

The princess thing was kinda obvious, to be honest I first thought she wasn't the real princess but some kind of monster that could take her appearance (and the real princess would have been the girl Sebas saved). That said I'm fine with her being "just" a psycho.

About the princess i was like "meh she seems nice and thats it" then i saw the mirror part and was like "oh boy" then i heard the homicidal thoughts "oh you're fucked" and finally that transition and was "oh boy OOOOH BOY now that is the good stuff"
When the princess showed her true personality, it was like a... I knew she was too nice moment. And also a strange sense of terror. Just how sociopathic she acted, when trying to put on the right 'smile' , wasn't the repeated Kill her in her head, nor the fact that she seemed blood lust, and crazy over climb, but the fact she seems so inhuman that she needs to fake a smile in such a way. Just creepy. I Love it.

Whatdidyoucallme1 if we're talking about the top crew then the weakest would be Victim followed by Demiurge. Shaltear is actually really strong with one of the Twins Mare (With her all her Beasts) at second. Cocytus beats Albedo, Albedo beats Sebas, Sebas beats Cocytus when comparing those three. The strongest being in Nazarick is one of Albedo's sister. Much stronger than Ainz the way it was worded.
Edit: I'm not sure how Pandora's Actor scale considering what his ability does. Also Gargantuan is definitely stronger than shalltear but he has no will.
Power level of Floor Guardians according to author: (strongest to weakest)

The Guardians all have specialties. Shalltear is the most balanced and can last really long in a fight. Gargantua has the highest stats and is _technically_ the strongest but he has no sentence. Cocytus has the highest attack power with a weapon. Aura is the strongest in group combat and guerilla warfare. Mare has the strongest area effect attack. Demiurge is the most intelligent and is something like the jack of all trades. Victim is the weakest but it has a special ability that makes it a secret weapon. And Albedo has the strongest defense skills and is a powerful tank.

The princess reminds me of Yuno from future diary. But with a more royal bearing and ability to think quickly and use people easily to get what she wants. The think that stumps me most though is does the king know she's like this an that's why she's reallt locked up?

A few episodes ago I noticed that the ending with the princess flashing her psychotic side and faded to normal.I was truly interested and curious and now this week's episode not only reveals her dark side but transition to the ending...OMG That was truly well done.I'm an anime-only person and I gotta say Madhouse that was beyong perfect to end that episode.

9:35 That doesn't actually make sense in Overlord, since it's not a thing you can do, NW is just a fantasy world with Yggdrasil 'rules' tacked on top of it to cover any existing holes, not a game world with fantasy on top of it.
Getting lethally wounded will still kill you, and just resting won't do you any good when it comes to wounds besides the normal resting for several days/weeks to recover from exhaustion and for wounds to close and heal properly like, well real life. Healing magic and potions are only things that can help with serious injuries preventing long term damage, for example having a tendon or a muscle cut, magic can heal and undo that damage, bandaging and resting it off will leave you a crippled without that muscle or tendon.
If it wasn't for Brain saving him, or for Climb being princess's personal guard with strong potions at hand, Climb would have bleed out and died before Sebas arrived.
Anime only here, that transition was definitely amazing. I knew something was wrong with her because of the ending, but damn that reveal was just on point. I screamed at the screen, then rewinded and watched that part again lol
As an ex-anime only, the final scene made me binge read all light novels. It was that good that I had to learn more and now I wish they won't screw the depth of princess's personality to everyday medicore yandere. This show is so good

Dren Gaming ah that, all the ending art is now stuff drown by the light novel artist So-Bin alot of it is dramatic and not to be taken at face value. But one thing to look out for with the princess is her smarts not Power. Just so you know it was stated that she is as smart as Demi and albedo.

Person preference is for you to read the novels from 1-10 then go for the extras, but the the only novel that you NEED to read is 3 alot of things were left out and information on the shalter and Ainz fight is a must because the anime skipped what the the spells and skills do.
Have fun the novels are great and have alot of rereading value, so much is packed into them.
the sence with the princess was awesome, I had to re-watch the episode so it can truly wash over. The forshadowing for the princess in the previous episodes was spot on and gave me a nice chill. As for climb I see him as a potential berserker class hero but thats just me
What I find interesting about the Princess and Climb's relationship is their personalities. Climb is a man who is so devoted to his girl that he will stand in the face of death just to be with her. The princess, from what I can tell, is a crazed psychopathic killer who would murder anyone who made fun of or talked down her man. Interesting. Very interesting. I'm really interested to see where this goes.
Renner wouldn't actually go out and murder though, she'll kill them with her 'princess smile,' 'naive babbling' and meticulous planning.
Now im not the only one right, i picked up on a couple things in the light novels and manga details that i never noticed before.
Like how the price zenate spelt something like that and the noble guy with him also said she was monster or who tsuar is( dont worry no spoilers here )
For the longest time I thought the ending was showing the princess as a psycho, but I was full on expecting her to kill Cline due to some sick morbid fixation on murder. This scene and transition really hit me as a shock. It was quite impressive.
I loved the part when Sebas completely destroyed the old man but the ending with the princess was the icing on the cake for me. Everything related to the princess that we knew so far topped with this episodes ending was so masterfully done, truly. The princess might be physco but at least we're now 100% sure that she definitely has a thing for Climb. Besides, who doesn't love it when there's physco intensely in love with someone to extends unknown. You gotta admit, it makes for a hell of a story and plot ;D

Bleeding out still exists in this universe though, maybe it's like a status effect but yeah it's still explainable how he can heal himself since it's a game world

In the light novel, Sebas didn’t just end him. He kicked the noble’s lower half splitting him. He was left to slowly die with time to think out what he had done.
It's simple, but Chibi's surprisingly good w/ clickbait and titles. If I ever start a YT channel I legitimately think I might follow his example/template to some extent.
And yea, w/ Overlord nealy every ep feels like it fucking flies by. It's alright tho, the next three should be the most intense of the season

semi-anime only here. but i read the wiki in the past reading character details so i walked into that one on renner's side. but still that transition into the ed was masterpiece for me. i have low expectations so i may be exaggerating but minor artistic/editing decisions like these are like candies made of bliss.

Shalltear didn't dodge Brain's attack in the anime, she caught it with her fingers. Brain was like a toddler to her.
This princess seems as sincere as I am in her just pursuits abroad, and she bears a similar personal darkness to my own at home, except for the fact that she lets loose over more slight matters than I would. Unbalanced folk like us DO exist.
It is nice to see that the series takes rather realistic approaches to how people are with nuances that make our behaviors appear incongruent to the onlooker, but exist anyway for reasons that actually make sense to the ones wearing the shoes. Human beings operate at different logical wavelengths and bear different innate values at different priority levels either from nature or nurture (both are involved, it's not an either/or matter). It's why we are different in the first place, and it's also why nobody gets to have nice things.
Being able to relate to Princess Renner is why I liked her...
Renner is like Potema of the elder scroll "I am the Queen of Solitude, the daughter of the Emperor! Summon the daedras! I will sell the soul of all my subjects for a little comfort.".
Put Nazarick in the place of the daedra and you have the storie of Renner's life

From a socio-economical perspective it doesn't make sense to end slavery (which is the princess' doing), when you haven't found means to render them useless. Momon did point out that through magic the history of that world developed differently than ours. It hasn't been shown, if they practise large scale magically enhanced industrial production, or if they managed to enslave an inferior species.
So if latter is not the case, the princess is not a proclaimed genius, at least not in economics.
