@MrRocky1945 you may have to put a longer bolt and a nut, if the splines are stripped it gets difficult. i've seen people tack weld them on but be careful not to burn the seal.
I checked using a flashlight and yes my sons 1991 handa xr100 does have points I just have to figure out how to get to them as they looked original according to the part number on the points . Now I will will watch the whole series so I can replace and adjust them. Thanks
Hi Donyboy! I love watching your videos and learning! I have a Suffolk Punch lawn mower and as soon as I put her under load the engine dies? on idle she will rev up but as soon as you put her into long grass she dies under load and help would be most welcome Thanks Ian in the UK
That is what happing to my sons 1991 honda xr100 I will now check and see if it has points and I will save this to my favorites so I can watch it over and over to get it right. Thanks
@donyboy73 I have done that unless I have done something wrong? I sprayed carb cleaner in every hole! if the engine is not under load it will rev up but put under load it dies
I have a "I think" 1977 Honda z50j. This bike seems to have a different setup on the points and condenser. It has no points and condenser like the one shown in this video. It has two different sized wire coils an a small, black rectangular box in around the 2 or 3 O'clock position.Do you,or anyone know anything,and/or have any information about this setup.
screwdriver is ok but i use an angle grinder wrench, its safer in my opinion therefor your not mess on the inside ;-) and the flywheel puller is reversed thread
Crankshafts should never be struck on the ends with a hammer. Risk of damaging the main bearings, putting the crank out of true and/or cracking the main cases. People watching this can be inexperienced and smash away on the crank until something lets go or breaks. $10 puller is the ONLY way to remove it.
The puller is left hand thread. Thread it into the flywheel the other way and it'll work perfect.

@runningtat an air hammer, a piece of hardwood on the shaft, leave the nut at the end of the threads though

the puller has reverse threads and you were trying to screw in the puller in the wrong direction. screw in the puller counter clockwise
