Liz I completely understand your gratefulness by your interest in needlework. I grew up in Shriners Hospital for crippled children. I did not walk until 5 years old. I have spent much time on and off in wheelchairs. A nurse brought some stitching in and taught me. I will forever be grateful. Because no matter what state I am in, I can find joy and productivity in stitching!

The sense of friendship you exude and feeling a part of it when I watch our videos, but then realizing that with 20K subscribers there are masses of people who end up watching your videos and I feel like just a small voice/pair of eyes in a large crowd. BUT, I continue to watch your videos because of the sense of friendship you exude and your love of needlework and look forward to the day when being around other stitchers in person is possible. Woohoo, I won. That's so exciting. I too am one that gets up before the sun and stitches before work. I live the peace the morning brings. With that said, I do live alone so besides the joyful sound of my dog running around it's typically pretty quiet but the mornings have a calming peace.

How funny! I am currently wearing a light yellow nail polish which is a little different for me! I was telling my daughter how "beachy" I feel and she said, "except it's Autumn". I quickly corrected her and told her that I could wear this nail polish until after Labor Day! 🤣 Great stitching with you two! 💝

I haven't worn pantyhose in over 20 years. So this past May when my son got married I wore a long gown and under it I wore knee highs!!! No one knew but me. At my age it's all about comfort. Lol
I love the discussion about the houses and using them in a quilt. The car in your tree farm pattern could be put in instead of a house. Use Grandma's house with the church and label it as The Manse (the parsonage). Alwasy a treat to share some time with you two.
Oh my gosh y'all brought back memories with the pantyhose. LOL I hated those things they were aweful. Mom also taught us that you never wear white after labor day. LOL I still tell my grandchildren that. I am starting to feel old. I do agree with you that you have to love what you stitch. I really enjoy watching y'all. Thanks for a great morning!

Hi Both, great video as always. I really enjoyed what you shared Liz at the end of the video. My Mum was a great knitter and she crochet too, I love sewing and crafting. I've joined watercolour classes and upholstry classes and my passion now and I'm in my seventies, is, handcrafted journals and I have encouraged my daughter to make them too and we have our own little business together now and its so much fun. My daughter has rhumatoid arthritus and fybromalgia. I have arthrius in my hands but we won't give up crafting because it is so good for our souls. God bless you both, Lita from S.Wales UK. xx

I’ve always been a stitcher, embroider, quilter, journaled and I love to needle turn applicate and much more. I got my busy hands from my grandmother who taught me to knit and crochet. Living on our farm, I was very isolated. I don’t know what I would do without my needle and thread. In 2020-21, my needles and threads saved me.

When you were talking about moms crafting, etc. my mom came to mind. I remember she always had an evening project to keep her hands busy when we were in the living room. I remember her getting The WorkBasket magazines and one seasonal crafty decor related. (The name escapes me at the moment.). Oh my goodness, enjoy you ladies so much. I laughed when you spoke about the pantyhose lol. Remember the plastic egg that some came in? I haven’t wore them in years and a couple of weeks ago I got fitted for my dress for my son’s wedding in October and I thought maybe…I need to wear some light shear pantyhose? My legs have so many mosquito bite marks lol
Liz and Deb I love the progress you are making on your cross stitching. They are all beautiful. I have added to my wishlist Autumn ala round by Glendon place. Love the autumn colors. I have been watching your old videos and absolutely love them. I get great ideas and love the gadgets you show. Question: When you use the medical tape on you material do you remove it when you finish your project or do you keep it on? I finally finished my Joan Elliot design "Birdhouse Welcome" Whoopee!!!. If you go to Cross stitch warehouse and pull up "Birdhouse Welcome complete" you will see the pattern. I love Joan Elliot designs she puts a lot of color in her patterns. I will be taking that to the framers hopefully sometime next week along with my two Halloween and one Christmas projects I have completed. I am really happy that I accomplished those pieces. I am not a fast stitcher but I truly enjoy cross stitching a lot. Now that I finished my Joan Elliot design I will be doing some more ornaments. One will be a moose with christmas lights tangled around him and the other one is a reindeer by Ursula Michaels. If you go to Pinterest and pull up Cross stitch card shop issue 80 you will see the picture of the moose (he is so cute couldn't resist} and if you go to amazon and pull up ornaments galore by Ursula Michaels you will see the reindeer with the heart (he too is adorable}. I also started a few days ago working on "Still Lifes" by Jeanette Crews. I am doing the sunflower pattern. If you go to eBay and pull up "Still lives" cross stitch pattern by Jeanette crews you will see the sunflower I will be working on. Love the colors. Liz and Deb I have so many projects to do I want to stitch them all but I will take one step at a time but I really love stitching it is relaxing to me and not have to think about what is going on in our world today. I remember her getting The WorkBasket magazines and one seasonal crafty decor related. (The name escapes me at the moment.). For as far back as I can, I remember she knit, crocheted, sewed, baked from scratch. Thanks for the happy memories recall.

Good morning Liz and Deb. Stitching as you are talking! Do you remember when you wore blue in the summer and black in the winter. I still laugh when September comes and I think I can’t wear white sandals! You ladies are blessed to have each other. My best friend just moved to Cape Cod and miss those days we’d get together to knit.
12:00 I’ll be stitching on my first piece of gauze…. WHEN… I learn how to stitch on silk and listen to everyone’s tips and tricks. Yes I’m nervous

Oh gawd - I remember nylons and you’re so right, they had to be worn when wearing a skirt or dress. While I miss some traditions of yester-years, nylons is not one of them. 😉. Nice catching up with you both - Deb, I love your hair style today, so pretty with the hair tie or is it a clip?

Oh my goodness, enjoy you ladies so much. I laughed when you spoke about the pantyhose lol. Remember the plastic egg that some came in? I haven’t wore them in years and a couple of weeks ago I got fitted for my dress for my son’s wedding in October and I thought maybe…I need to wear some light shear pantyhose? My legs have so many mosquito bite marks lol

Liz and Deb I love the progress you are making on your cross stitching. They are all beautiful. I have added to my wishlist Autumn ala round by Glendon place. Love the autumn colors. I have been watching your old videos and absolutely love them. I get great ideas and love the gadgets you show. Question: When you use the medical tape on you material do you remove it when you finish your project or do you keep it on?
I finally finished my Joan Elliot design "Birdhouse Welcome" Whoopee!!!. If you go to Cross stitch warehouse and pull up "Birdhouse Welcome complete" you will see the pattern. I love Joan Elliot designs she puts a lot of color in her patterns. I will be taking that to the framers hopefully sometime next week along with my two Halloween and one Christmas projects I have completed. I am really happy that I accomplished those pieces. I am not a fast stitcher but I truly enjoy cross stitching a lot. Now that I finished my Joan Elliot design I will be doing some more ornaments. One will be a moose with christmas lights tangled around him and the other one is a reindeer by Ursula Michaels. If you go to Pinterest and pull up Cross stitch card shop issue 80 you will see the picture of the moose (he is so cute couldn't resist} and if you go to amazon and pull up ornaments galore by Ursula Michaels you will see the reindeer with the heart (he too is adorable}. I also started a few days ago working on "Still Lifes" by Jeanette Crews. I am doing the sunflower pattern. If you go to eBay and pull up "Still lives" cross stitch pattern by Jeanette crews you will see the sunflower I will be working on. Love the colors. Liz and Deb I have so many projects to do I want to stitch them all but I will take one step at a time but I really love stitching it is relaxing to me and not have to think about what is going on in our world today. Deb when you sit down to figure your phase 3 will you film the process. Also when I clean out my craft room/space then I can never find anything.
