love your journal flip through it always reminds me of the things i save i save just about everything and the fun part is now my mom ask if i want this or that or saves me things for my journal as well i think it is fun to keep everything and just be able to look back on all the things that you have saved and some things that are still around and other things that are not like places or stores you went to or things you ate or just things you bought or whatever it is fun
Wow I love all your journals. Very impressive. I have only been glue booking for a couple months now and have 6 different books going. I bought a composition book to start a glue book . I love the journal you shared with us today. I might to make a more personalized journal as opposed to a random glue book.
Thank you very much for your time and thank you for should this nice journal Actually i make Community Journal project. Everybody can send me stuff for the journal and after all by make a lottery. Everyone who like can be a part of it. So everyone who send me stuff can win the journal. I hope this stuff I get will not be too weard
Love your composition notebooks! I have a question. I have alot of ephemera I've saved for years in boxes meaning to use them to journal and never did. Id like to start this kind of journaling. Im having a hard time starting. The part of my brain that says it needs to be in chronological order is holding me back. Alot of the things ive saved are not organized. Is there anything u can think of to help me get past this? I'd live to see them lined up on a shelf like yours so i can see them and go thru them to remember. Sorry for the long winded comment.
Not the creator, but I think I can help? :3 I truly understand this feeling, because I suffer from it from time to time, and I know my mom suffers from this, and she blames it on her "perfectionism". My best advice is to throw caution to the wind. When you start a page and notice a theme, maybe dig through your box! You can slowly add things you've collected into the theme of your page! It's pretty much a matter of taking a big deep breath and just taking the plunge. I hope it was helpful :'3 good luck with your smash journal!
So cool that you have boxes of memories! I would probably agree with other comment and just suggest diving right in. I struggle with having things in chronological order too because I usually have multiple books going on at the same time and I will procrastinate until I’ve got a BUCKET full of ephemera from months accumulated meaning to journal. I try to use my date stamp whenever I can, but time is relative anyway lol so as long as i can trigger the memory I don’t focus too much on the specific date. Maybe you can try grouping like items or colors? But no need to take it too serious. Done is better than perfect.
@TaylorAnne yes..triggering the memory! That's what I'm looking for! I really appreciate the advice. Looking forward to seeing more flip throughs. I watch them multiple times. I suffer from anxiety and they help me, calm me
One thing that I’ve found that helps to use up my ephemera is to gather the related ephemera (say photos and receipts from a specific weekend away in the past) and to open the journal at a random page. I work through my journal chronologically normally, but if I’m journaling about a memory, I just open the book at a random blank page and go from there - it’s nice when you end up at that page again cause then you reflect on the memory again!
Cute journal. TFS
