A suggestion for this! In PZ, big groups of zombies don't always make a bee line straight for you, they spread out a bit more when they're further away, and it makes the whole horde look much larger and cooler. Maybe have the zomboids 'push' each other away when they're far from the player? That way, it would look less like a train of zomboids, and more like a crowd, which would be a lot more intimidating from a 1st person POV, and also give the player a better idea of just how many zomboids are left in a group!
Honestly itd be one of the biggest ventures ever but remaking just a town of zomboid and using it as basis to develop all the features from zomboid in some way would be insane, i know me and all my buddies would go crazy over a zomboid remake in first person as well as everyone in the zombie survival genre

you should copy the healing system like using rags as bandages and having seprate limps scratched or injured and make the cabin full of loot and it regenerates every 10 minutes

Quick tip: Zomboid usually has a small chance of a zombie lunging at you before they get up after climbing through a window to balance out the tactic of just hitting them while they go through the windows. but you can still dodge them with enough skill.
