Amazing tutorial! I'm not an inline newbie, but I found your series valuable as knowing better the fundamentals benefits at all levels. Especially if you're a self-learned skater like I am, it helps me erase all the bad habits and helps to "purify" overall skating technique. Cheers!
Thanks for your video ! it's helpful to practice backward skill !! feel better because I'm concentrated on backward position nowadays. 'm trying to move without nervous / with music. Well, If you are wearing light helmat, make feel safer to see..😄🐧 have a nice day !
Good tips. I find it so hard to skate backwards in the scissor position. My back foot always turns and either causes me to go off course or to lose my balance and fall. I tend to get frustrated and just go back to skating with my feel parallel and looking over my shoulder (which offers very limited view)... It sounds like I need to swallow my pride and do a bunch more repetitions at slower speeds using a wall.
I’d argue you shouldn’t skate in either direction with a heel brake. Jk jk, you should take it off as soon as you feel comfortable though. There are much more effective ways to stop and getting too comfortable relying on the heel brake will just keep you from learning them.

correct! low speeds, push off against a wall, and learn to strear you back foot. You are in charge of your feet! your feet dont control you.
Please make a video tutorial about spins and magic slide
