awww Nick when you found that drink for your Mom my heart hurt for you. I'm so so sorry .. i feel like these little things that pop up are signs that they are still with us.. and to let us know they are okay and thinking of us... and some how that puts a little peace in our heart. You are such great Uncles and you look so happy ice skating with the girls... They are very lucky to have you both as such amazing Uncles . :) you can tell the girls love spending time with you

I just love your apartment and would spend more time there. I think it’s the mezzanine floor that makes it for me. We miss our Hello Fresh, but since we moved to Tenerife we’ve not been able to get deliveries here. We do still have all our recipe cards but often have ingredients missing.
Hiya guys, my sons used to like ice skating when they were little, the girls and nick looked like they had fun.i like going to IKEA but my hubby doesn't but he gose for me and lunch in there is good and love dime cake, thank you sharing your day,take care guys 👍

Nick, I heard your sadness in your voice when talking about your Mum. I'd like to say it gets better, but after thirty years it still stings at times. What does change is you'll find things, or see things that she would like and for a brief moment it won't hurt so much. I think you and Leigh would enjoy a tour around New England, the best scenery is September and October. I live in New Hampshire
I still have one of her Christmas gifts from her last Christmas thirty years ago
I too find it hard not to want to get things started early. You want to just get on with it, why not! LOL
Seeing the bit with beer made my heart ache for you. I still have a jar of my Dad's homemade horseradish, I'm keeping it as it has his writing on it, inedible but it's not going anywhere 😢
I'm like Nick in that I like to get things started early. We're buried in snow here in Tennessee and have tickets to see "Wicked" tonight. It's all I can do not to leave now, 5 hours before opening.
Stay home and warm wicked is crap anyway :)
I agree with Leigh about wanting a glass of wine when you're cooking. I've been doing dry January too and a small glass of kombucha some evenings is a good substitute. It can have trace amount of alcohol, but it's so low it doesn't matter. I also loved that Nick has the beer in the fridge, it's the little things that spark memories of our loved ones that keep them in our hearts.
Have you looked at a mince chopper? It's just a plastic thing, but it's so good for separating the mince without squashing it. I love the car freshners but a bit expensive, and they were in the sale online, but i missed it 😊

Those IKEA cookies in the white tin are delicious. So are the gingerbread ones in a red tin. I always get a couple of the tins and bring them into work during the holidays. They last a week at most 😂.
No idea why TH-cam recommended you to me, but so pleased they did really enjoyed watching, Iam now going on a binge watch of your other vlogs, new subscriber

I went to an ice-skating party in high school, but I found it impossible to stand up in skates without my ankles buckling. I went around the entire rink once, holding onto the side, got out, and have never put on ice skates again. So I can sympathize with Janine.
