    when you use worbla can you cover yourself and then heat it?

    Love the detail and how intricate your art is! Thank you so so much for sharing!
    However; I do have a question, what is the best way to finish the the back? Do you do an elastic back strap or make a worbla back strap? There’s so many great videos on working with worbla but if Anyone can suggest any other videos or cool tips on how to finish this would be appreciated !

      Thank you so much! Worbla is such a cool material :) You can make so many amazing things with it! And it's so durable too ^^ Even my oldest Worbla armors are still in great shape after years ☺

      @@PretzlCosplay I have actually made my wife quite few solid metal corsets from polished brass and also mirrored stainless steel. All cut with a huge laser cutting machine. But this wobble looks like it will be so much easier to work. Thank you again.

    I am LOVING your videos. So many excellent tutorials and tips, not to mention watching you work on this stuff reminds me how much I miss this process. Yay adulting!!! Anyway, one thing I notice is missing from a lot of these is how you come to make the base of your Worbla creations. For sewing, I find I can just make something up relatively easily and I have over 12 years of sewing experience and cosplay now (Yikes!) But I'm trying to up my game and diversify what I can make and also the detail of my projects. I'm working on some bioware character costumes as well as some star wars and original costumes that require some armor crafting to really bring them together. What I'm really struggling with is creating something for the base pattern to start my project. How do you get there and take that 3D Shape into a 2D space that will then become 3D again? Does that make sense?

    I have a question. Why not just glue the foam onto the chest plate? That way you still have the details and one less step.

    Hey Pretzl! I love your videos, you make such beautiful pieces look so easy! As someone new to cosplaying I'm having trouble taking the vision in my mind and making a design on paper. Do you have any tips on how to plan out your ideas from the beginning? For example, how did you come up with the blueprint for all the small pieces of the breast plate that you cut out of foam in the beginning?

      Thank you so much!! :D
      Aha, I can understand that it can be difficult to make patterns from scratch when you are just starting out. But believe me, it will get easier along the way ^^ What I personaly do, is measure my body at the places where I want the armor to be. Then I put these measurements on a piece of paper and just freehand what I think the pattern should look like. I then cut it out and hold the piece of paper to my body and check in the mirror if it looks right. If it doesn't, I will make changes and try again until I like the pattern. Then I will draw the extra shapes on it for the layering, and transfer those onto pieces of paper too. Then I end up with several pattern pieces that I can cut out of foam :) The exact patterns that I used for this one, are in this pattern pack: www.etsy.com/listing/630754951/digital-blueprints-woodelf-leafeon?ga_search_query=leafeon&ref=shop_items_search_3

    It’s so weird that you posted this because I am currently working on an armored Leafeon cosplay and this video showed up on my notifications!
    One question though... do you need different sized spheres for different size bra cups?

    Why do you first use normal worbla and then do fine white worbla above and below?

    • @PretzlCosplay
      @PretzlCosplay  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This breastplate is fully made with the white (Pearly) Worbla. I didn't use the normal (brown) Worbla for this one. Maybe the foam inside the Worbla confused you? That is craftfoam, to help keep the armor in shape :)

    Do you have any tips if the plastic dome is too small? :( I ordered the 12cm one but its a bit too small, and I'm not sure if I can cover that up with worbla because the dome is smaller? Do you think the worbla would stretch enough if I heat it up and shape it?
